The purpose of the corona workshop was to consider the corona
problem in both one and several complex variables, both in the
context of function theory and harmonic analysis as well as the
context of operator theory and functional analysis. It was held in
June 2012 at the Fields Institute in Toronto, and attended by about
fifty mathematicians. This volume validates and commemorates the
workshop, and records some of the ideas that were developed within.
The corona problem dates back to 1941. It has exerted a powerful
influence over mathematical analysis for nearly 75 years. There is
material to help bring people up to speed in the latest ideas of
the subject, as well as historical material to provide background.
Particularly noteworthy is a history of the corona problem,
authored by the five organizers, that provides a unique glimpse at
how the problem and its many different solutions have developed.
There has never been a meeting of this kind, and there has never
been a volume of this kind. Mathematicians-both veterans and
newcomers-will benefit from reading this book. This volume makes a
unique contribution to the analysis literature and will be a
valuable part of the canon for many years to come.

Legendary FBI profiler and #1 "New York Times" bestselling author
John Douglas explores the shocking case of John Robinson, a
harmless, unassuming family man whose criminal history began with
embezzlement and fraud -- and ended with his arrest for the savage
murders of six women and his suspected involvement in at least five
disappearances. Most disturbing was the hunting ground in which
Robinson seduced his prey: the world of cyberspace. Haunting chat
rooms, targeting vulnerable women, and exploiting the anonymity of
the Internet, his bloody spree was finally halted by a relentless
parole officer who spent ten years trying to nail Robinson as a
cold-blooded killer.
A cautionary tale set in a virtual world where relationships are
established without the benefit of physical contact, and where
mainstream Americans can be drawn down a dark path of temptation
and death, "Anyone You Want Me To Be" is a contemporary real-life
drama of high-tech crime and punishment.
With more than 55 years of experience between them, master
couple s therapists David Olsen and Douglas Stephens know where
most relationships go awry. Based on their knowledge of those
danger zones, they have created targeted, practical exercises that
help you successfully navigate those areas. The goal is to turn
problems or potential problems into opportunities for greater
communication and intimacy.
Olsen and Stephens also know that often only one half of a
couple is ready to make real changes. "The Couple s Survival
Workbook" is designed to work even if your partner isn t committed
to the process. By skillfully changing yourself, you re likely to
find your whole relationship improving.
Whether you re a therapist seeking practical, effective
exercises for the couples you work with clients or you are part of
a struggling couple looking to make your relationship work, "The
Couple s Survival Workbook" can help.

This is a story about the impossibility of the real Robert E Lee
being somehow transported in time to the present, on the eve of the
last day of the Battle of Gettysburg. He meets John Buford, and
together they grapple with the impossiblity of it. Eventually they
resign themselves to it, and even embrace it. Lee reveals many
personal things to John that he never told anyone before, including
a romance while he was stationed in Texas before the war. Lee askes
for information on the conclusion of the battle. John tells him,
but becomes concerned that Lee may be able to return to the battle
and change his tactics to change defeat as we know it into victory
for the South. The story concludes with an interesting and even
plausible revelation as to how this time travel encounter could
have actually happened. The author expands on Einstein's theory of
relativity, to the possibility that history, too, might be
relative. Just as time itself is relative.
Creation and Fall originated in lectures given by Dietrich
Bonhoeffer at the University of Berlin in the winter semester of
1932-33 during the demise of the Weimar Republic and the birth of
the Third Reich. In the course of these events, Bonhoeffer called
his students to focus their attention on the word of God the word
of truth in a time of turmoil.
