Among sugar crops, sugarcane is the leading one. Increasing sugar
recovery from cane is an important objective of present research.
In a field experiment, sugarcane planted at different row spacings
was sprayed with different combinations of nutrients. From results,
it is suggested to grow sugarcane at 120 cm apart rows and feed its
foliage with a combination of macro and micro nutrients to take
good quality cane.
Maize is widely grown cereal crop. It serves three main purposes,
as a food for human consumption, feed for livestock, poultry and
raw material for agro-based industries. It is also utilized as a
commercial crop to manufacture various products due to its highly
nutritive value. Maize require high amount of nutrients for its
growth & development. Thus integrated use of organic &
inorganic sources of nutrients could be higly effective in
improving maize yield. So, a study was conducted to evalute the
effect of different sources of nitrogen on the production potential
of spring maize (Zea mays L.). This book provides a piece of
knowledge for upcoming research in the filed of plant nutrition.
