The focus on bodies and conflicts over bodily practices are the starting point for the contributors to this volume who depart from established national and denominational historiographies to probe the often-ambiguous phenomena occurring at the interstices of confessional boundaries. In this way, the authors examine a variety of religious living conditions, socio-cultural groups, and spiritual networks of early modern Europe and the Americas. The work of Esther Brinkmann is characterised by the meaning she bestows on the ring, its relationship to the hand and, perhaps most surprisingly, to its case. The Swiss artist prefers processed and textured materials, which now also include new component forms, techniques, and substances since her time living in China and India. She established a further education training program in jewellery design - a unique undertaking in Switzerland - at the Haute Ecole d'Art et de Design (HEAD) in Geneva. Here, her knowledge and autonomy in her work have already shaped several other artistic careers. This publication presents Esther Brinkman's oeuvre from the past 30 years and highlights for the first time the remarkable strength and the freedom that distinguish the artist's rich career. Aufgrund rasanter wirtschaftlicher und technologischer Entwicklungen sind qualifizierte und lernbereite Mitarbeiter unersetzbar. Die Weiterbildung und Forderung ist gerade in Zeiten des Fachkraftemangels ein bedeutendes Thema. Die Wettbewerbsfahigkeit ist abhangig von der Leistungsmotivation und Kompetenz der Mitarbeiter. Eine Investition von Zeit und Geld in eine bessere Steuerung, Planung und Uberwachung kann sich fur ein Unternehmen in vielfacher Hinsicht rentieren. In der Praxis steckt das Personalcontrolling im Vergleich zum klassischen Controlling noch in den Kinderschuhen. Viele Unternehmen erkennen bereits eine klare Notwendigkeit, allerdings ist die Umsetzung mit vielen Hurden verbunden. Ein wesentlicher Grund dafur ist, dass nicht nur quantitative Kosten- und Leistungsdaten, sondern auch qualitative Planungs- und Kontrollverfahren in der Personalwirtschaft ausschlaggebend sind. Die Zusammenwirkung von vielfaltigen Einflussfaktoren und die Dynamik in der unternehmerischen Entwicklung, erschweren es Daten und Kennzahlen im betrieblichen Personalbereich zu erfassen. Die objektiv nicht messbaren Kriterien, wie Fuhrungsverhalten und Arbeitsmotivation bilden jeweils nur eine Momentaufnahme. Die Ursachen und auch die Auswirkungen konnen nur schwer mit der qualitativen Information in Zusammenhang gebracht werden. Nicht zuletzt erschwert die fehlende Akzeptanz, die Umsetzung im Unternehmen. Die vorliegende Arbeit zeigt, wie das Personalcontrolling wichtige Impulse fur die Optimierung der Unternehmensbereiche geben kann. Es geht nicht um die Kontrolle des einzelnen Mitarbeiters, sondern vielmehr um gesamtstrategische Handlungsempfehlungen. Im besten Fall wird gemeinsam eine win-win Situation angestrebt: Die Steigerung der Kos
