Part of the ST(P) graded series in mathematics, this book covers
most attainment targets at Levels 4 and 5 of the National
Curriculum, about half at level 6 and some at Level 7. Some of the
work goes beyond Level 7, offering flexibility for those teachers
who prefer to start the work at this stage.;The exercises are
divided into three types of question. The first kind is aimed at
helping pupils to understand the work, the second is for quicker
workers, for extra practice or for later revision and the third is
slightly more difficult, for those who have managed the first type
fairly easily.
Part of the ST(P) graded series in mathematics, this book follows
1A and 2A and completes coverage of Levels 6 and 7 of the National
Curriculum, and most of Level 8. Some of the work goes beyond Level
8. In particular, there is a large section on algebra which starts
the preparation for the skills needed to cope with the algebra
content of Level 10. The exercises are divided into three types of
question. The first kind is aimed at helping pupils to understand
the work, the second is for quicker workers, for extra practice or
for later revision and the third is slightly more difficult, for
those who have managed the first type fairly easily.

Written for neurologists and other physicians who participate in
the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors, the authors based this
book on their individual clinical experiences. The text is
practical. The first seven chapters provide a foundation for tumor
pathology, biology, radiology, and the treatment modalities of
surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Each of the
tumor-specific chapters has a common format, reviewing the history,
epidemiology, biology, pathology, clinical symptoms, differential
diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis and complications. There is a
particular emphasis on treatment in these chapters.
Assuming no previous knowledge of the subject, this textbook covers
the work necessary for the mechanics components of all boards'
syllabuses for A-Level Mathematics. Topics are arranged in such a
way that the necessary pure support should have been covered in a
parallel course. Theory and worked examples are followed by ramped
exercises which begin with straightforward questions, and
consolidation sections contain a summary of preceding work, as well
as exercises which include past examination questions.
Designed to meet the Common Core requirements of the University of
London Syllabus B, and other similar schemes offered by the major
boards, this book incorporates both modern and effective
traditional approaches to mathematical understanding. Worked
examples and exercises support the text. An ELBS/LPBB edition is
available.
