Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 1993 im Fachbereich Politik - Internationale Politik - Thema: Europaische Union, Universitat Konstanz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Nach dem Scheitern politischer Integrationsprojekte Mitte der funfziger Jahre, wurde der europaische Integrationsprozess mit der Grundung der Europaischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft (EWG) auf das Gebiet der Wirtschaft verlagert. Die wahrungspolitische Zusammenarbeit der europaischen Staaten vollzog sich dabei keineswegs parallel zum Aufbau des Gemeinsamen Marktes. Im Gegenteil - besondere europaische Initiativen auf dem Gebiet der Wahrungspolitik standen seinerzeit nicht auf der Tagesordnung, vielmehr vollzog sich der wirtschaftliche Aufbau der Gemeinschaft unter dem Schirm" des Bretton Woods Systems fester Wechselkurse. Erst als sich der Zusammenbruch dieses Leitwahrungssystems ankundigte, entwickelten die europaischen Staaten mit dem Werner-Plan von 1970 und dem 1972 geschaffenen Europaischen Wechselkursverbund (EWV) eigene wahrungspolitische Initiativen. Der endgultige Zusammenbruch des Bretton Woods Systems und der Ubergang zu floatenden Wechselkursen machte diese, ersten eigenen wahrungspolitischen Gehversuche der europaischen Staaten weitgehend zunichte. Erst gegen Ende der siebziger Jahre wurde mit der Grundung des Europaischen Wahrungssystems (EWS), einem System fester Wechselkurse, die wahrungspolitische Integration Europas auf ein festes institutionelles Fundament gestellt. Mit dem 1991 in Maastricht unterzeichneten Vertragswerk wollen die Staaten der Europaischen Gemeinschaft noch einen Schritt weitergehen. Ihr Ziel ist die Schaffung einer Wirtschafts- und Wahrungsunion bis zur Jahrtausendwende. Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der europaische Wahrungspolitik zwischen 1957 und 1993. This interdisciplinary book covers the fundamentals of optical whispering gallery mode (WGM) microcavities, light-matter interaction, and biomolecular structure with a focus on applications in biosensing. Novel biosensors based on the hybridization of WGM microcavities and localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) in metal nanoparticles have emerged as the most sensitive microsystem biodetection technology that boasts single molecule detection capability without the need for amplification and labeling of the analyte.
