Known errors have been correc- ted, apart from the addition of a considerable number of new results, which involve almost exclusively higher functions. Bei den Anwendungen der elliptischen: Funktionen und Integrale auf die Behandlung physikalischer oder technischer Fragen werden nicht nur die grundlegenden Eigenschaften, sondern auch zahlreiche spezielle Formeln aus der Theorie dieser Funktionen gebraucht. Wir haben versucht, diesen Sachverhalt zu illustrieren durch eine Zusammen- stellung von moeglichst verschiedenartigen Beispielen; diese sind vor- zugsweise nach mathematischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewahlt, aber, so- weit als moeglich, nach den Anwendungsgebieten gruppiert worden.
