This volume (a collection of excerpts from the AHistorical Dictionary of RhetoricA) provides the reader with essential knowledge about the concept, methodologies, and history of European rhetoric, the development of the subject up to the present day, and the existence of analogous theories in non-European cultures. The scope of the volume and its concentration on the fundamental essentials of rhetoric make it unique among the specialist publications on the subject, which is presented here on an interdisciplinary basis reflecting the latest developments in research.
