* Offers a step-by-step guide to case study writing and teaching,
which is a model that is rapidly growing in popularity alongside
digital and blended learning * The 3rd edition has a particular
emphasis on concise rather than long cases, which better complement
the digital learning model. * Highly practical content,
incorporating exercises, worksheets, and training activities built
around one core case study example.
An accessible guide to an increasingly complex subject,
Entrepreneurial Finance: Concepts and Cases demonstrates how to
address often- overlooked financial issues from the entrepreneur's
standpoint, including challenges faced by start-ups and small
businesses. This new edition retains the original's structure,
around seven modules or building blocks designed to be taught
across a full semester with natural break points built into each
chapter within the modules. The building blocks present macro-
concepts which are explored in greater detail in each of the
chapters. Each concept is illustrated by a short case and followed
by thoughtful questions to enhance learning. The cases are new or
fully updated for the second edition, and deal with real companies,
real problems, and currently unfolding issues. A new chapter on
business models includes coverage of social ventures, and the
chapters on forms of business ownership and financing have been
expanded. Upper- level undergraduate students of entrepreneurship
will appreciate the book's practical approach and engaging tone,
along with the hands- on cases and exercises that help students to
break down complex concepts. Online resources for instructors
include a case teaching manual, lecture slides, test bank, and
interactive exercises.

The topic of moral courage is typically missing from business
ethics instruction and management training. But moral courage is
what we need when workplace pressures threaten to compromise our
values and principles. Moral Courage in Organizations: Doing the
Right Thing at Work, edited by Debra Comer and Gina Vega,
underscores for readers the ethical pitfalls they can expect to
encounter at work and enhances their ability do what they know is
right, despite these organizational pressures. The book highlights
the effects of organizational factors on ethical behavior;
illustrates exemplary moral courage and lapses of moral courage;
explores the skills and information that support those who act with
moral courage; and considers how to change organizations to promote
moral courage, as well as how to exercise moral courage to change
organizations. By giving readers who want to do the right thing
guidelines for going about it, Moral Courage in Organizations:
Doing the Right Thing at Work is a potent tool to foster more
ethical organizational behavior.

Much of the research in the area of telework has been more
enthusiastic and optimistic than dependable. This book presents
objective descriptions and experiences of telework, instead of
focusing on boosterism of proponents' theories or the unexamined
skepticism of naysayers. Vega specifically questions the wholesale
adoption of telework as recommended by its advocates. She examines
the impact of telework on the worker, as well as benefits to the
employer. Telework might not be the answer to all problems, but
Vega's close examination concludes with an upbeat description of
what can happen--and has happened--in the best of circumstances.
