These books grew out of the perception that a number of important
conceptual and theoretical advances in research on small group
behavior had developed in recent years, but were scattered in
rather fragmentary fashion across a diverse literature. Thus, it
seemed useful to encourage the formulation of summary accounts. A
conference was held in Hamburg with the aim of not only encouraging
such developments, but also encouraging the integration of
theoretical approaches where possible. These two volumes are the
result. Current research on small groups falls roughly into two
moderately broad categories, and this classification is reflected
in the two books. Volume I addresses theoretical problems
associated with the consensual action of task-oriented small
groups, whereas Volume II focuses on interpersonal relations and
social processes within such groups. The two volumes differ
somewhat in that the conceptual work of Volume I tends to address
rather strictly defined problems of consensual action, some
approaches tending to the axiomatic, whereas the conceptual work
described in Volume II is generally less formal and rather general
in focus. However, both volumes represent current conceptual work
in small group research and can claim to have achieved the original
purpose of up-to-date conceptual summaries of progress on new
theoretical work.

Berechnungen, zahlreicher Veroffent- lichungen, verschiedener
In many centers of excellence in Urology, robotic prostatectomy
has become the first choice for the surgical treatment of localized
prostate cancer owing to benefits such as reduced pain and
minimization of impotence and incontinence. This atlas,
specifically designed for use by surgeons, provides a beautifully
illustrated, step-by-step guide to all aspects of the procedure.
The various techniques that can be employed to achieve excellent
oncological and functional results are carefully depicted in
appropriate detail; for example, nerve-sparing techniques, bladder
neck reconstruction, and approaches aimed at the early restoration
of continence are clearly described. Special situations, such as
prior prostate surgery, a large prostate, and salvage
prostatectomy, are also fully covered. The information contained in
this atlas will be of great value in enabling surgeons to improve
their results and to take full advantage of the benefits of robotic
prostatectomy compared with open prostatectomy.
Auf der Grundlage allgemeiner sozialwissenschaftlicher Theorien
entwickelt der Autor integrative Konzepte der
betriebswirtschaftlichen Analyse und passt diese den spezifischen
betriebswirtschaftlichen Erkenntnisinteressen an.
Mit den neuen Informations- und Kommunikationstechniken richten
sich betriebswirtschaftliche Rationalisierungsstrategien erstmals
grossflachig auf den Buro- und Dienstleistungsbereich. Dieses Buch
prasentiert die Ergebnisse einer empirischen Untersuchung aktueller
Rationalisierungsmassnahmen und -strategien in Banken und
Versicherungen, Industrie und Handel sowie offentlichen
Verwaltungen.
institutionellen Voraussetzungen okonomischen Handelns
einschliesst. Die Autoren entwickeln ein neuartiges Konzept
kommunikativer Rationalisierung, das an die Stelle verkurzter
technokratischer Konzepte tritt."
