'Vigorously affirming anarchism's plurality, the authors make a
powerful case for the reconfiguration of anticolonial struggle'
Ruth Kinna, Professor, Loughborough University As early as the end
of the nineteenth century, anarchists such as Peter Kropotkin and
Élisée Reclus became interested in Indigenous peoples, many of
whom they saw as societies without a state or private property,
living a form of communism. Thinkers such as David Graeber and John
Holloway have continued this tradition of engagement with the
practices of Indigenous societies, while Indigenous activists
coined the term 'anarcho-indigenism', in reference to a long
history of (often imperfect) collaboration between anarchists and
Indigenous activists, over land rights and environmental issues,
including recent high profile anti-pipeline campaigns.
Anarcho-Indigenism is a dialogue between anarchism and Indigenous
politics. In interviews, the contributors reveal what Indigenous
thought and traditions and anarchism have in common, without
denying the scars left by colonialism. They ultimately offer a
vision of the world that combines anti-colonialism, feminism,
ecology, anti-capitalism and anti-statism.
A groundbreaking, proven program for women looking to build wealth
and invest with confidence According to studies, women's and men's
brains process information differently-especially when it comes to
money. As an experienced wealth coach and financial therapist,
Barbara Huson has found that men view investing as a challenge
whereas women view it as a threat. In The Rewire Response, she
shows you how to conquer your fears, reset your goals, and retrain
your brain to build wealth quickly, smartly, and effectively. This
groundbreaking approach to wealth-building combines the latest
neuroscience, psychology, and mind training techniques with more
than two decades of financial expertise and hundreds of lectures
and seminars. The Rewire Response is the culmination of the
author's life work, a simple but powerful mind-realignment program
that gives women the confidence, the courage, and the tools they
need to improve the way they think about money. This book proves,
without a doubt, that you can save, invest, and grow your wealth
like a pro-when you put your mind to it.
Book two in the award-winning Mothers of Xsan series, The Grizzly
Mother uses striking illustration and lyrical language to bring the
poetry of the Xsan ecosystem to life. To the Gitxsan people of
Northwestern British Columbia, the grizzly is an integral part of
the natural landscape. Together, they share the land and forests
that the Skeena River runs through, as well as the sockeye salmon
within it. Follow mother bear as she teaches her cubs what they
need to survive on their own.
To the Gitxsan of Northwestern British Columbia, Nox Ga'naaw is a
storyteller, speaking truths of the universe. After Nox Ga'naaw,
the frog mother, releases her eggs among the aquatic plants of a
pond, the tiny tadpoles are left to fend for themselves. As they
hatch, grow legs, and transform into their adult selves, they must
avoid the mouths of hungry predators. Will the young frogs survive
to spawn their own eggs, continuing a cycle 200 million years in
the making? Book four of the Mothers of Xsan series follows the
life cycle of the columbia spotted frog. Learn about why this
species is of special significance to the Gitxsan and how Nox
Ga'naaw and her offspring are essential to the balance that is
life.

Gyetxw (Brett D. Huson) and his award-winning, richly illustrative
Mothers of Xsan series. "An incredible celebration of the deep
connections that are essential to the relationships between mothers
and their children"--The Globe and Mail Nox xsgyaak, the eagle
mother, cares for her brood in the embrace of a black cottonwood
with the help of her mate. Will both eaglets survive the summer in
an environment that is both delicate and unforgiving? Learn about
the life cycle of these stunning birds of prey, the traditions of
the Gitxsan, and how bald eagles can enrich their entire ecosystem.
Evocative illustration brings the Xsan's flora and fauna to life
for middle years readers in book three of the Mothers of Xsan
series.
To the Gitxsan people of Northwestern British Columbia, the sockeye
salmon is more than just a source of food. Over its life cycle, it
nourishes the very land and forests that the Skeena River runs
through and where the Gitxsan make their home. The Sockeye Mother
explores how the animals, water, soil, and seasons are all
intertwined.
Follow along as award-winning author Hetxw'ms Gyetxw (Brett D.
Huson) introduces young readers to a pack of grey wolves. New pups
have just begun to open their eyes, one of which is a striking
black female. Every day, her ears grow larger, her eyesight gets
sharper, and her legs stretch farther. As she learns to hunt, play,
and run with her pack, instinct pulls her to explore beyond her
home territory. Will the young wolf's bold spirit help her find a
new pack of her very own? Learn about the life cycle of these
magnificent canines, the traditions of the Gitxsan, and how grey
wolves contribute to the health of their entire ecosystem.
The evolutionary history of species is traditionally represented
using a rooted phylogenetic tree. However, when reticulate events
such as hybridization, horizontal gene transfer or recombination
are believed to be involved, phylogenetic networks that can
accommodate non-treelike evolution have an important role to play.
This book provides the first interdisciplinary overview of
phylogenetic networks. Beginning with a concise introduction to
both phylogenetic trees and phylogenetic networks, the fundamental
concepts and results are then presented for both rooted and
unrooted phylogenetic networks. Current approaches and algorithms
available for computing phylogenetic networks from different types
of datasets are then discussed, accompanied by examples of their
application to real biological datasets. The book also summarises
the algorithms used for drawing phylogenetic networks, along with
the existing software for their computation and evaluation. All
datasets, examples and other additional information and links are
available from the book's companion website at
www.phylogenetic-networks.org.
The origins of the tarot have been lost in the mists of time. Most
scholars have guessed that its origins were in China, Egypt, or
India. In Mystical Origins of the Tarot, Paul Huson has expertly
tracked each symbol of the Minor Arcana to roots in ancient Persia
and the Major Arcana Trump card images to the medieval world of
mystery, miracle, and morality plays. A number of tarot historians
have questioned the use of the tarot as a divination tool prior to
the 18th century. But the author demonstrates that the symbolic
meanings of the Major Arcana were evident from the time they were
first employed in the mid-15th century in the popular divination
practice of sortilege. He also reveals how the identities of the
court cards in the Minor Arcana were derived from a blend of pagan
and medieval sources that strongly influenced their interpretation
in tarot divination. Mystical Origins of the Tarotprovides a
thorough examination of the original historical source for each
card and how the cards' divinatory meanings evolved from these
symbols. Huson also provides concise and practical card-reading
methods designed by the cartomancers of the 18th and 19th centuries
and reveals the origins of the card interpretations promoted by the
Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and A. E. Waite.

There are multiple dimensions, and within each are alternate
Earths, each with human beings on them, all struggling to live
another day; loving, laughing and hating. Some worlds are almost
identical to our own, and some are wildly different. This is
irrelevant, for in the end, all will be destroyed when the dead
rise from their graves, hungry and snarling, to devour the
living. But every Earth has its protectors; gleaming beacons of hope
and ragtag bands of misfit freaks with powers beyond those of
normal men, who fight to preserve life. These heroes have kept evil
at bay and maintained the status quo until now.Though powerful
beyond measure, can even they stop the Zombie Apocalypse? When the
dead swarm over the globe in numbers beyond imagination, and those
who die join their ranks, will there be any hope for the rest of us
who are merely flesh and blood?Within the pages of this book, the
end of the world will challenge these heroes like nothing before.
Prepare yourself for the greatest battle of all time, for when
superheroes fight zombies, no one is safe.
An enduring classic since its publication in 1970, "Mastering
Witchcraft" is one of the best how-to manuals for those wishing to
practice traditional European Witchcraft as a craft rather than a
New Age religion. Starting from first principles, Huson instructs
the novice step by step in the arts of circle casting, blessing and
banning, the uses of amulets and talismans, philters, divination,
necromancy, waxen images, knots, fascination, conjuration, magical
familiars, spells to arouse passion or lust, attain vengeance, and
of course, counter-spells to exorcize and annul the malice of
others. "A genuine "vade mecum.""-"The Catholic Herald."
