a diwladwriaeth? A yw ymdrech dramodwyr yr 1990au i ddychmygu

"Understanding Information Policy "presents the proceedings of an
information policy workshop held in July 1996, organized by the
Information Policy Unit at the City University and attended by
leading experts in the field.
This volume, published in association with the United Nations
Environment Programme, examines how co-ordinated action among
neighbouring countries could reduce greenhouse gas emissions in
ways which are environmentally, economically and socially
beneficial. A framework is presented for analyzing regional
mitigation options, along with specific proposals for southern
Africa, such as pooling electricity supplies, changing transport
patterns and promoting new forms of energy. It shows how regional
projects and policies can be developed and supported by the global
community to help reduce climate change, and provides a study for
decision makers, researchers and students in the areas of global
climate change, international relations, energy and environmental
studies and African affairs.

"Inside Out" is written by Lesley Ross. While at the height of his
career, through his involvement with an obsessive fan, Ivor Novello
became involved in a wartime petrol scam, resulting in his
imprisonment at Wormwood Scrubs. "Inside Out" contrasts the
glamorous backstage world of the West End Star with the stark
reality of the prison cell. "Sex and Power at the Beau Rivage" is
written by Lewis Davies. An invitation: 'Would you care to come
here and be my guest at this small and inexpensive hotel for a few
days? Bandol is on the Marseilles side of Toulon. My wife and I
would both be pleased if you come.' And with the letter, Rhys
Davies caught the train to Bandol to meet DH Lawrence and a place
in literary history.
This book presents four plays by Caridad Svich that explore the
rough waters of citizenship under the pressure of globalization and
the threads of human connection - often tested, but never wholly
severed - across multiple geographic landscapes. Featuring an
introduction by Welsh playwright and director Ian Rowlands and
essays by practitioners Zac Kline, Blair Baker, Neil Scharnick,
Carla Melo and Sherrine Azab, this wide-ranging, daring collection
of plays refuses to pretend that the complex and thorny questions
of existence are easily settled.
An established art critic and collector can no longer be moved by
beauty. Desperate to feel, to live, he has become a vampire who
sucks the souls of young artists from their canvases, before
destroying them out of spite. When he is picked up by a young man
at a gallery opening, a story of seduction and revenge unfolds.
The three plays in this collection, Blue Heron in the Womb.
Glissando on an Empty Harp, and Love in Plastic, all reflect Ian
Rowlands's vigorous intellect and fascination with words. Blue
Heron is a black comedy about a family who gathers to scatter the
ashes of a dead child. They are divided in grief, blown apart by
jealousy. Glissandro, with echoes of about two poet-tramps, a mute,
and a woman who gives birth to a box, and a head that appears on
video. The final play, set in a seedy restaurant and focusing on
seven different people, explores the debasement of Welshness and
language.
HISTORIA are plays by acclaimed Welsh dramatist Ian Rowlands that
focus on issues of storytelling, war, history, the making of
theatre, gun control, and the nature of tragedy. Plays in this
volume include TROYANNE set in Troy, Ohio; A/THE BIOGRAPHY OF A
THING; and TROY STORY with foreword by John Clinton Eisner, an
introductions by Professor Jerry Hunter, playwright Caridad Svich
and Rowlands himself. A dynamic, provocative collection of
contemporary drama.

The initial inspiration for "Blink" was a report into the
systematic abuse of children at a Welsh-language comprehensive
school during the 1980s. Though based on tragic events, this is a
warm-hearted and comic drama which deals with father figures and
family life.
