At the tender age of three, I developed a case of chicken pox. A
horrible case that I know I will never forget. Not because I
actually remember it, but because my mother will make sure the
horrid occasion is firmly implanted in my brain.which, believe me,
it is. This chicken pox episode has followed me from the toddler
years up to now. And, it will continue to follow me until the end
of my years. At the age of 15, I developed encephalitis, meningitis
and shingles and three years later had another occurrence of
meningitis. It was at this time I began to write. Three years after
the last episode, I began to develop symptoms of what is now
diagnosed as post-Encephalitic Parkinson's Disease. It has now been
over 20 years since I found PD had entered my life. The docs
classify me as being in the advanced stages. I say it is all in
mindset. It has not ruined my way of living. In many ways it has
enhanced it. I find that my creative side has blossomed as never
before. My faith in my Lord has also blossomed. He guides me
through each day with new lessons added frequently. He holds me
when I am down, and lifts me up when I feel good. He always reminds
me that I am human. Knowing this, I know that I will make it.He is
my Father after all. I have three daughters Melissa, Jasmine, and
Cameo. I am also blessed with a wonderful granddaughter, Chloe. I
was a single mother for 15 years and bought my own home and 1978
Harley Davidson Superglide. I am now married to the man I can truly
claim to have made my life complete. I have not been able to work
for 11 years, but enjoy the peace and quiet of living on my acreage
in the countryside of the Pacific Northwest. I have become humble
to my Lord Jesusthrough the trials of this disease and have found
strength and wisdom that I would not ever have known otherwise. I
have learned that His will is in my best interest, and through His
love, I have found contentment.

Please, put the book down and walk away. You're not ready for
everything contained in this book. You're going to get mad, you're
going to get sad, and you're face is going to hurt. It's the
rollercoaster ride your knuckles will bleed from, for holding on so
tight. This book will jerk your chain, ruffle your feathers, smack
you around, and leave you pondering.
What can I say? I didn't wait 7 years to write this book so you
can forget about it. You'll never forget about it, just like the
people that have heard these stories before. This book has every
aspect of life compiled into it's pages. Race, drugs, religion,
relationships, and sex. Yeah, sex sells, but you may not like the
sex in this book. Is that possible? After reading this book, you'll
never see sex in the same way. Like I said, you can't handle this
book.

"Rethinking Contemporary Feminist Politics" puts forward a timely
analysis of contemporary feminism. Critically engaging with both
narratives of feminist decline and re-emergence, it draws on
poststructuralist political theory to assess current forms of
activism in the UK and present a provocative account of recent
developments in feminist politics.
My interest in the behaviour and movements of birds of arid and
semi-arid ecosystems began when my wife, Sue Milton, and I were Roy
Siegfried, Director, at that time, of the Percy approached by Prof.
FitzPatrick Institute of African Ornithology, to set up a project
to investigate granivory in the South African Karoo. Sue and I
spent some time finding a suitable study site, setting up
accommodations and an automatic weather station at Tierberg, in the
southern Karoo near the village of Prince Albert, and planning
projects. Among our first projects was a transect where we noted
plant phe nology, measured seed densities on the soil surface,
counted birds, observed ant activity, measured soil surface
temperatures and col lected whatever climate data we could at 40
sites along a 200-km oval route. Along the way, we became
interested in the marked presence and absence of birds at certain
sites - abundant birds one day, and very few birds at the same site
a month later. Subsequent counts along fixed transects through
shrublands confirmed that a number of bird species were highly
nomadic over short and long distances, locally and regionally,
leading to speculation on how widespread these movements were in
the arid ecosystems of the world."

This edited work expands the theory of followership by drawing on
biblical examples to illustrate the role of faith in being a better
follower. Building on previous scholarship, the book identifies
different types of followers and explores how each type meets the
needs of a leader in various scenarios. The authors analyze various
principles from the lives of followers of Jesus and demonstrate how
they apply to modern workplaces. Building upon the growing
scholarship on workplace spirituality and organizational
leadership, this book offers practical and theoretical perspectives
on integrating faith at work.
