Graber has done just that. Living in Tyneside for most of it she
has continuously drawn and painted the world about her. Her Father
was Pilot Master on the Tyne so she grew up with a love of the
river and ships. She says it's the smell of tarry rope that does it

QuiziCat remembers when she was a little curious kitten. As she
read a book at bedtime with her Gran about big cats she asked why
the leopard has spots. This is the Story that her Gran told, she's
brought it up to date although it's quite old. It's all in Rhyme,
we think you'll find it's fine. The Story if based on the original
idea by Rudyard Kipling who had some creative concepts on how
camouflage first came about. "Just So." QuiziCat's Gran has her own
interpretation: - " Now little QuiziCat, she said in a voice so
soft and low. This is the story of the Leopard's Spots, and it
happened Just So-So.
The story of the Cat is about how most animals (including us)
started out Wild and became Tame. However Cats have always kept a
bit of "wild" in their lives. Hoping this story encourages you, the
reader, to be brave enough to "Be Yourself" and go your OWN way in
life. Just like "The Cat who walked by Herself."In 1980 Sheila
Graber was commissioned to create a series of animated films for
World TV based on Rudyard Kipling's "Just So Stories" These
beautifully illustrated books, with full colour images on every
page, are based on the hand painted art work created on plastic
"cel"for that series. To see some cels for REAL go to

The story of the Leopard is all about camouflage and trying NOT to
be eaten It is full of colour, light and shade and texture and
shows how most of us are suitably camouflaged to "fit in" to our
world. We hope you enjoy "fitting in" with Sheila Graber's adaption
of Kipling's fun, pun packed story story. In 1980 Sheila was
commissioned to create a series of animated films for World TV

This Story is really about the Beginning of the World and how "the
Eldest Magician" asked everyone in it to "play together in harmony"
It stars the LIttle Girl Daughter and her Dad from Malaysia, the
Earth and the Moon (watch out for the Fisherman in the Moon and the
Rat of the Moon ) and the naughty King Crab "Pau Amma" who grew too
big for his shell In 1980 Sheila Graber was commissioned to create

This book IS NOT MEANT to be a REPLACEMENT for Kipling's Original
work - if you want that then please look elsewhere. It is primarily
a beautifully illustrated picture book, with two full colour images
on every page, for youngsters based on the Animated TV series
adapted from Kipling's stories. It still stars the original Curious
Elephant who is a typical youngster. Always curious about the
world, always asking Who? Where? What? and When? Even though his
questions bring him a bit of bother it all turns out for the better
in the end. We hope this book will help keep that sense of wonder
and fun alive The hand painted art work created for that series.

This story is about wanting to be famous. It features Old Man
Kangaroo who, in his younger days, dances and sings in the Middle
of Australia hoping a fan will notice how special he is and follow
him everywhere. He eventually gets his wish granted, but maybe not
quite in the way he expected. Sheila has brought Kipling's Classic
work into the C21st without losing any of his poetry or humour.
Brilliantly illustrated with four large full colour images per
double page spread, theses books make ideal bedtime reading either
with an adult or alone. A few simple notes at the back help to
clarify some of Kipling's trickier words and phrases and also give
a few ideas for creating stories of your own.

How Dirty Girls Get Clean: An Anthology of Wicked Woman Writes, Art
and Subversive Scholarship This irreverent anthology of women's
work features a diverse collection ofart soldiers including: Joan
Jobe Smith, Tamara Madison, Puma Perl, Reverend Jen Miller, Fiona
Helmsley, Lydia Lunch, Jennifer Blowdryer, Ann Wood, Roxy Cotin,
Hulga McSwine, Rene Diedrich, Dominique Lowell, Alicia Adams, Joie
Cook, Misty Rainwater, Nico Turner, Amy Wood, Iris Berry, and many
more. Insagas of debauchery and redemption, these women write what
they are not supposed to with wit and relish. Adorned by
intoxicating images, the short fiction, poetry, essays and rants
within its pagesare compelling evidence that an iconoclastic new
movement in literature and feminism has emerged. The shrill,
sexless screech of women's studies departments will soon be
silenced, that dead-white-dude-bashing dubiously disguised as
scholarship will be dismissed and the feminist backlash will
realized by the efforts of the voices of an independent woman who
lives on her own terms. This is an important book with substance,
fresh academic perception and insight long overdue. It is also sex,
drugs, rock and roll. Impossible to ignore, much less put down, we
dare you not to look between the covers.

Jen Miller has fallen in and out of love, but no man has been there
for her the way running has.In Running: A Love Story, Jen tells the
story of her lifelong relationship with running with wit,
thoughtfulness, and brutal honesty. Jen first laces up her sneakers
in high school, when, like many people, she sees running as a
painful part of conditioning for other sports. But when she
discovers early in her career as a journalist that it helps her
clear her mind, focus her efforts, and achieve new goals, she
becomes hooked for good. Jen, a middle-of-the-pack but tenacious
runner, hones her skill while navigating relationships with men
that, like a tricky marathon route, have their ups and downs,
relying on running to keep her steady in the hard times. As Jen
pushes herself toward ever-greater challenges, she finds that
running helps her walk away from the wrong men and learn to love
herself while revealing focus, discipline, and confidence she
didn't realize she had. Relatable, inspiring, and brutally honest,
Running: A Love Story, explores the many ways that distance running
carves a path to inner peace and empowerment by charting one
woman's evolution in the sport.
