Written by a man who has lived and sailed a great part of his life
in the waters around Chichester Harbour, this book aims to capture
the beauties and excitement of the place. It tells the history of
the region in a series of chapters, ranging from the arrival of the
Romans to the evacuation from Dunkirk, that recreate a series of
local incidents.
The Butterflies of Britain & Ireland provides comprehensive
coverage of all our resident and migratory butterflies, including
the latest information on newly discovered species such as Cryptic
Wood White and the Geranium Bronze. When first published in 1991 it
won the Natural World Book of the Year Award and won plaudits from
all quarters. Fully revised, considerably expanded and reset in
2010, it was judged that year's Guardian Nature Book of the Year.
Now revised again to reflect the latest research findings, and with
up-to-date distribution maps, this remarkable book is THE guide to
the appearance, behaviour, life cycle and ecology of the
butterflies of Britain and Ireland.

Ben Wheatley directs this dystopian action thriller set in 1975
London, adapted from the novel by J.G. Ballard. Tom Hiddleston
plays Robert Laing, a wealthy young doctor who joins an insular
community that resides in a luxury high-rise building where the
floor you inhabit is determined by your status and affluence.
Designed by renowned architect Anthony Royal (Jeremy Irons), Laing
takes up residence on the 27th floor or, halfway up the hierarchy.
He befriends documentary maker Richard Wilder (Luke Evans) and his
wife (Elizabeth Moss), who are confined to a lower floor. Wilder is
bent on mobilising a class war and toppling the serene isolated
community, which divides the residents into aggressive factions.
The story follows Laing as he navigates amongst the chaos and
complete dismantling of societal order.

David Cronenberg directs this drama based on the relationship
between the two founding fathers of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud
and Carl Jung. The film, which draws from both the stage play,
'Taking the Cure', by Christopher Hampton and the 1993 book, 'A
Most Dangerous Method', by John Kerr, also portrays Jung's sexual
affair with one of his female patients. Set in early 20th century
Europe, the film traces the intense personal and professional
relationship between Freud (Viggo Mortensen) and his protégé, Carl
Jung (Michael Fassbender). When married family man Jung takes in
beautiful young Russian patient Sabina Spielrin (Keira Knightley)
for treatment at his clinic in Switzerland, she quickly becomes his
muse and the two soon embark on a passionate sadomasochistic
affair. Meanwhile, Freud and Jung's views and theories are
developing in opposing directions, eventually leading to an
insurmountable rift between the two.

Academy Award-nominated Norwegian drama based on explorer Thor
Heyerdahl's 1947 expedition in which he journeyed across the
Pacific Ocean on a raft from South America to Polynesia. Heyerdahl
(Pål Sverre Hagen) aims to prove his theory that the Hanau epe, an
ancient Peruvian tribe, settled on the Polynesian islands 1500
years ago. To do so, he builds a raft named Kon-Tiki which
resembles the type of vessel the tribe would have had the
technology to make. Then, with five crew members and a parrot he
sets off from Peru and takes to the ocean, despite the fact he is
unable to swim or sail, to show that such a journey would have been
possible even in the pre-Columbian era. During the 4300 nautical
mile-voyage he and his crew encounter numerous difficulties. Will
they make it safely to Polynesia and prove Heyerdahl's theory?
