In the western 'High Plains Drifter' (1973) the unwelcome arrival of a stranger (Eastwood) in the town of Lagos causes resentment and fear among the locals. Hierbei gehe ich zunachst auf die Begrifflichkeit Familie als solche und die verschiedenen Familienformen ein. Es soll dafur die Familie an sich naher analysiert werden - was eigentlich mit Familie gemeint ist, ihre Funktionen und Formen sowie ihre historische Entwicklung. Danach werde ich den Wandel der Elternrolle, sprich Mutter- und Vaterrolle mit ihrer Arbeitsteilung behandeln. Hierbei gehe ich auch auf die beiden grossen Bereiche der Grunde fur den Bedeutungswandel der Familie und die heutige Vielzahl an Lebensformen ein. Zum Schluss versuche ich eine Bilanz zu ziehen und einen Ausblick zu geben
