Full consideration is given in this book to the use of rational pharmacological approaches as part of an integrated behavioural/cognitive behavioural approach, to maximize opportunities for learning and skills training. The authors argue that a consistent behavioural/cognitive behavioural approach can help patients to optimize their functional ability despite cognitive deficits and they also show that behaviour disorders need not stand in the way of useful functional skills training.
