Epic drama recounting the First World War battle that became a byword for the carnage of the times. Written by and starring Paul Gross, the film follows the fortunes of wounded sergeant Michael Dunne (Gross), recovering at a hospital in Canada. After striking up a relationship with nurse Sarah Mann (Caroline Dhavernas), Dunne decides to return to active duty in France in order to shepherd Sarah's younger brother David (Joe Dinicol) through the war.
