The Pink Panther diamond has been stolen again and Inspector Clouseau (Peter Sellers) is called in to find the thief. Christopher Plummer has taken over David Niven's role as number one suspect, but this time he is innocent and decides he'll have to find the culprit himself if he wants to avoid a life behind bars. Clouseau, meanwhile, conducts the police investigation in his idosyncratic style.
Spike Milligan plays McGonagall, an unemployed weaver who decides to devote his life to poetry. He falls in love with Queen Victoria (Peter Sellers) and dedicates his work to her, despite a distinct lack of interest on her part and talent on his.
Spike Milligan, remembered for his turn in 'The Goons' and his 'Q' series' from the 1960s to the 1980s, looks back at his career with his tongue buried firmly in his cheek. Playing along with the camera crew's 'surprise' visit to his home, he quickly turns the situation to his surreal advantage and revels in his own lunatic humour whilst reviewing years of influential and crazy humour.
Eighth entry in the 'Carry On' series. Barbara Windsor (in her first 'Carry On' appearance) plays a trainee spy in the British Secret Service, who must use all her talents to prevent an evil mastermind from the organisation S.T.E.N.C.H. obtaining a secret formula. Master spies on the case include Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey and Bernard Cribbins.
