Double bill of animated sci-fi adventures. In 'Space Chimps' (2008)
a multi-billion dollar Space Agency probe disappears into a
wormhole and a performing circus chimpanzee named Ham III (voice of
Andy Samberg) is recruited to help locate it. Unfortunately, Ham
III is more interested in messing around than living up to his
illustrious heritage as the grandson of the first chimp in space.
However, when the peaceful inhabitants of a distant planet are
threatened by an evil dictator, the mischievous chimp is forced to
become a reluctant hero, with the help of his crewmates, Lt. Luna
(Cheryl Hines) and their commander, Titan (Patrick Warburton). In
the sequel, 'Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back' (2010), zany
young chimpanzee Comet (voice of Zack Shada) longs to be taken
seriously as a fully-fledged space chimp and so travels to Planet
Malgor, where he befriends the cute alien Kilowatt (Laura Bailey).
After a hostile alien invasion, Comet must join forces with fellow
chimps Ham (Tom Kinney), Luna and Titan to save the day.
Data mining is a technique used to discover and present data in
useful form to support decision making. This work responds to the
need for a multi-disciplinary research resource, offering various
perspectives on the social construction of reality and how
different people make sense of the same information at different
times. For example, in the section addressing information
retrieval, subject relevance - chosen based upon the user's
construction or pertinence - is contrasted with objective
relevance, a system-based relationship that is measured by aspects
of the subject matter and its universe. Format, use, currency,
relevance, reliability, and validity are all basic elements of
information quality that are explored in the research presented.
Other strands include information architecture, Text Retrieval
Conferences (TREC), machine learning, biometric technologies,
computer interfaces, the interoperability of networked retrieval
systems, and other research topics related to information
retrieval.

Recent technological advances in horizontal drilling and
high-volume hydraulic fracturing have made the Marcellus Shale the
newest gas-development target or play in the northern Appalachian
basin. Protection of freshwater aquifers from contamination by
saltwater and gas during the development of the Marcellus Shale
play is an issue of concern. Chemung, Tioga, and Broome Counties
are in the southwestern part of the Marcellus Shale play in New
York and likely will be the focus of drilling early in development
of the play in the State. As a preliminary step in understanding
and protecting the groundwater resource in the three-county area,
logs of water wells in the U.S. Geological Survey National Water
Information System and gas wells in the New York State Museum
Empire State Oil and Gas Information System were evaluated for the
determination of the presence of freshwater, saltwater, and gas
above the Marcellus Shale.

1911. This little book is about the great peak which the Indians
named "Tacoma" but which is officially called "Rainier." It aims to
show the grandest and most accessible of our extinct volcanoes from
all points of view. Like the glacial rivers, its text will be found
a narrow stream flowing swiftly amidst great mountain scenery. Its
abundant illustrations cover not only the giants' fairyland south
of the peak, but also the equally stupendous scenes that await the
adventurer who penetrates the harder trails and climbs the greater
glaciers of the north and east slopes.

Educators: "It is time we stand for something, Lest we fall for
anything," as past demands on education have exhibited. This book
is intended to offer a perspective of where education is; how it
got there and to offer a new Portrait of Education. The contention
is to regain the trust of our students and reestablish a
relationship with them using the expertise of educators, who have
been trained in how we learn, child development and enable them to
remove "VIOLENCE" from the schools! Parents, attorneys, doctors,
politicians, and other members of a school's community should be
involved in their areas of expertise aiding educators in the reform
of education.
Smokie was a real cat and his story is based around his true life.
I hope this book can bring young and old alike an understanding
of one of life's greatest pleasures...the company of a cat. For all
those past or present owners, I don't have to sell you on the
appreciation of cats. For those that have never owned a cat, just
read and enjoy. Hopefully this story can help children to accept
the loss of any pet more easily without ever having to forget
them.
