As new technologies and professional profiles emerge, traditional
education paradigms have to be adapted to new scenarios, creating
favorable conditions for promoting transversal skills among
students. Consequently, there is a growing demand for training in
emergent skills to solve problems of different natures,
distributive leadership competencies, empathy, ability to control
emotions, etc. In this sense, one of the challenges that educators
of all different educational levels and training contexts have to
face is to foster these skills in their courses. To overcome these
obstacles, innovative and disruptive methodologies, such as
game-based learning activities like escape rooms, can be a great
ally for teachers to work on transversal skills and specific
knowledge at the same time. Using Disruptive Methodologies and
Game-Based Learning to Foster Transversal Skills gathers knowledge,
skills, abilities, and capabilities on innovative and disruptive
methodologies that can be applied in all educational levels to
foster transversal skills. This publication contains different
contributions focused on the description of innovative educational
methods, processes, and tools that can be adopted by teachers to
promote transversal skills such as creativity, critical thinking,
decision-making, and entrepreneurial skills. This book is ideal for
teachers, instructional designers, educational software developers,
academics, professionals, students, and researchers working at all
levels in the educational field and provides valuable background
information to professionals who aim to overcome traditional
paradigm obstacles and meet student needs by means of innovative
and disruptive methodologies.
The book will provide an exhaustive and clear explanation of how

research, and seeks to help cancer researchers in achieving their
objectives. To do so, state-of-the-art Biostatistics,
Biomathematics and Bioinformatics methods will be described and
discussed in detail through illustrative and capital examples taken
from cancer research work already published. The book will provide
a guide for cancer researchers in using Statistics, Mathematics and
Informatics, clarifying the contribution of these logical sciences
to the study of cancer, thoroughly explaining their procedures and
methods, and providing criteria to their appropriate use.
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made
available for future generations to enjoy.

South of the U.S. border in Old Mexico trouble has been brewing
since Felipe Calderon was elected president and began a reign of
terror onto the cartels. Their response has been to kidnap,
torture, kill and dismember anyone they don't like. The displays of
dismembered bodies on public streets in major metropolitan areas is
startling. No one is safe. Victims include elected officials,
government employees, reporters, musicians, religious leaders, law
enforcement, illegals trying to make a new life for themselves and
innocent bystanders who get in the way of a stray bullet. Truly,
Mexico is lawless. Big U.S. bucks from the sale of drugs, illegal
workers, counterfeit movies and music are flooding into Mexico. An
estimated $50 billion a year is making its way across the Rio
Grande. This is the second largest influx of foreign cash into
Mexico after petroleum products, and eighty percent is profit.
Millions of palms are being greased by this drug money to look the
other way. No one wants it to stop. The Mexican saying "silver or
lead" means: allow the cartel to operate as it wants and make
money, or fight us and die from a lead bullet. On the average of
one a month, town mayors and law enforcement people are being
kidnapped, tortured and killed. Recently two of the highest level
military men in Mexico were arrested for suspicion of taking cartel
drug money. This is the first known English account of cartel life
today. It follows a fictional aging drug kingpin as he navigates
through his world which has been turned upside down. The twists and
turns in this story are as entertaining as the relationships are
captivating. Enjoy
