"The time has come to reimagine how we picture and practice sharing
the good news about Jesus. The time has come because the old
pictures and practices aren't wearing well and aren't working well.
People in our culture aren't responding. And people in the church
aren't excited or engaged. . . . The time has come because our
culture is shifting." (Rick Richardson, Reimagining Evangelism)
Sometimes talking about Jesus with friends can feel like trying to
close a deal on a sales call, pushing something on people they may
not really want. But what if we thought of it more like inviting
friends on a spiritual journey? The Reimagining Evangelism
Participant's Guide, in conjunction with the Reimagining Evangelism
DVD and Rick Richardson's book Reimagining Evangelism, will help
you to reframe evangelism as inviting friends on a journey toward
meeting and following Christ. The seven one-hour sessions found in
this Participant's Guide are 1. Do What You Love 2. Use Your Gifts
3. Ask Good Questions 4. Respond to Tough Questions 5. Share Your
Story 6. Communicate the Good News 7. Invite Response Each session

discussion of the session's topic, a Bible study, a teaching video

and believe that God will bring us out of old patterns and surprise
us with a way out of the old and into a new with Him. When we feel

His love even though evil is around. God teaches us how to advance
with Him, never to leave us in defeating circumstances, even at the
river's edge. So, get in the Ark, and let Judy's book bring a peace
to you, knowing God's ways are better and higher than ours.
Judy Johnson Berna is a wife, mother, sister, and daughter. She is
also an elective amputee. After spending almost thirty years hating
her deformed left foot, and doing her best to hide it, she decided
it was time to get an upgrade. On January 12, 2004, she started
over with a new foot and a new life. By June she was hiking trails
with her children. On the first anniversary of her surgery she
learned to ski. Every day she has been thankful for a foot that
finally works and a life of new opportunities. This is the story of
how she spent her childhood trying to figure out where she fit as
her large family took in more and more foster children. Life became
more complicated when her left foot stopped growing correctly at
age ten. When repeated surgeries didn't help and doctors couldn't
diagnose the problem, she tried her best not to burden her
overworked parents. Her inability to run and jump seemed
insignificant compared with the troubles her foster siblings faced.
As a young adult she started quizzing orthopedic doctors about the
idea of amputation. Every one of them told her it was a bad idea
and signified medical failure, so she pushed the idea to the back
of her mind. She married her college sweetheart and within a decade
they had four children. By the time her youngest was a toddler, the
Internet had grown enough to give her new answers. Answers that
included hope. On a cold winter day she walked into a hospital on
two feet and hopped out a day later with just one. She has never
looked back. Whether you are an amputee or you know one -- or you
need to make your own big life decision -- this story will speak to
you. Judy shares her struggles, triumphs, and lessons learned. Her
message at its core: Do what it takes to get the life you really
want.
A personal experience of salvation through Jesus Christ, including
sanctification and glorification, are hidden in picture form in the
story of Noah's ark. As its occupants enter the ark, endure the
storm, and finally emerge, safely on the other side, we find a
fresh understanding of grace. The Gospel according to Noah extends
an invitation to all living persons today, to enter God's Ark,
Christ, before impending judgment and destruction come upon the
earth, as in Noah's day, (Matthew 24:37-39).
