This book focuses on recent developments in metal nanomaterials and
nanocomposites for energy and environmental application such as
pollution control in water, air, and soil pollution. The chapters
incorporate carbon-based, metal-based and metal-organic framework
based nanomaterials and nanocomposites for emerging contaminants
(pharmaceuticals and microplastics) and other traditional
pollutants remediation along with energy storage, sensing of air
and water polutents and carbon capture & storage (CCS). This
book will be of interest to those in academia and industry involved
in energy and environmental science & engineering research.
This book is a collection of peer-reviewed best selected research
papers presented at the First International Conference on Machine
Intelligence and Smart Systems 2020 (MISS 2020), organized during
September 24-25, 2020, in Gwalior, India. The book presents new
advances and research results in the fields of machine
intelligence, artificial intelligence and smart systems. It
includes main paradigms of machine intelligence algorithms, namely
(1) neural networks, (2) evolutionary computation, (3) swarm
intelligence, (4) fuzzy systems and (5) immunological computation.

With the growing interest in restorative justice around the globe
in conflict transformation, several questions about appropriateness
arise. One area often questioned is the use of restorative
processes in cases of Custodial violence.Resstorative justice model
argues that holding punitive views towards police criminality will
contined victimisation in police custody rather restorative justice
on the otherhand, hold out the possibilities of restorative
processesses in changing behaviour of offenders and empowering
victims may lead to preventing the menace of custodial violence. In
this context, many issues in the debate around the use of
restorative justice in cases of custodial violence in India
presented in the book.
