Nothing's going to stop Kyla...
until the ground crumbles beneath her feet.
Kyla Justice has arrived. Her company, Justice Construction, is one
of the most critically acclaimed, commercially successful companies
in the Pacific Northwest. And yet, something is missing. Not until
she's called on to build a center for inner-city kids does she
realize what it is: her sense of purpose. Now nothing can stop her,
not the low budget, not supply problems, not gang opposition, not
her boyfriend's suggestion that she sell her business and marry
him-and most "especially" not that disagreeable Rafael Murphy.
Rafe Murphy understands battle. Wounded in action, this Force Recon
Marine carries the scars-and the nightmares-to prove it. Though he
can't fight overseas any longer, he's found his place as a warrior
in the civilian world. So he soldiers on, trusting that one of
these days, God will reveal to him why Rafe survived the ambush in
Iraq. That day has arrived.
Kyla and Rafe both discover that determination alone won't carry
them through danger and challenges. When gang violence threatens
their very foundations, there's only one way to survive: rely on
each other, be real-and surrender to God. In other words, risk
everything...
Anne's daughter Faith is the answer to her lifelong prayer to be a
mother. But her dream is shattered when the teenager rejects Anne's
love and the love of God. After years pass, and God heals their
relationship, Anne falls seriously ill. Faith watches her mother
weaken, struggling with role reversals and leaning on God as never
before. Through all the intricacies of their relationship, all the
joys and trials, they learn that God is with them. He brings them
peace in the darkness, joy in the midst of sorrow, and hope in the
face of death.A Mother...
Anne knew God would answer her fervent prayers for a baby. That's
why, when her daughter was born, she named her "Faith." But as
Faith grows into a teenager, mother and daughter rarely see
eye-to-eye about anything--including God. When Faith erupts in
rebellion, Anne's world is shattered. Now Anne must leave her
precious daughter in God's hands. A Daughter...
By God's grace, Faith survived a turbulent youth--a terrible time
when she hurt those she loved most. Faith has since grown close to
her parents, especially her mom. But then her mother falls
seriously ill. As Anne weakens, Faith struggles with the reversal
of their roles. Though she finds strength in God, fear is her
constant nemesis. Will God answer her prayers as He did her
mother's?
And the God Who Loves Them Both.
"A Test of Faith" explores the intricacies of the mother-daughter
bond and celebrates the rich, enduring love that often flourishes.
Follow these two women through a lifetime as they learn to
surrender their relationship and dreams to God--and trust that His
love and faithfulness are unending.
Story Behind the Book
I hope to give women a sense of celebration in this wonderous
connection God has given us with our mothers and daughters, to help
them releate to each other in a more healthy and biblical manner.
To find joy in our differences and to find ways to praise God
together for all He's given us. This is a story that comes from my
own experiences and will address issues I've seen Christians
struggle with for years. This is an honest, sometimes difficult,
and yet ulitmately encouragin and uplifting book.

This rerelease of the first Palisades romance by Karen Ball tells
the story of a young widow who learns to love again. Taylor
Sorensen has a secret: there are wolves on her ranch. Taylor's new
ranch hand, Connor Alexander, has a secret, too: he's a wildlife
biologist who's been sent to find out if, after sixty years, wolves
have returned to Wyoming. Caught in a fierce battle against angry
ranchers and centuries of superstition, Taylor and Connor are drawn
together by their desire to protect these wild, majestic animals.
What they don't know is that there's someone else out there who
hates the wolves -- someone who's as determined to get rid of them
as Taylor and Connor are to protect them.
Caught in a blizzard, they expected to fight for their lives. What
they didn't expect was a miracle...
Renee and Gabe Roman are on the edge--relationally and spiritually.
Both believe they are followers of Christ who know God. So why is
their marriage so difficult? After years of struggle, they wonder
if it's all been for nothing.
Then, on an anniversary trip to a remote resort, their truck
hurtles down the side of a mountain. Suddenly, they find themselves
at the mercy of the rugged Oregon wilderness, forced to fight for
survival by relying on each other. But both must surrender their
last defenses if they are to come home at last--to God and to each
other.
Can the Romans overcome their greatest obstacle--"themselves"--in
time?
A great idea is always worth repeating! In one volume, Christian
readers' favorite fiction authors-including Randy Alcorn, Terri
Blackstock, Angela Elwell Hunt, Melody Carlson, Nancy Moser, and
Karen Kingsbury-offer delightful new short stories about hometown
faith and foibles. This hard-to-put-down book, which features story
settings all around North America in a variety of time periods,
reminds readers about what values really spell home. And the
contributors celebrate a home-based ministry by donating their
royalties to Prison Fellowship!
Warning: Laughter ahead! Liz Curtis Higgs delivers again with "Fine
Print," where a businessman and the speech coach he's hired have no
idea there are matchmakers at work on their behalf! Her novella is
part of a delightful triple-header in Three Weddings and a Giggle.
The "giggle" comes from Carolyn Zane, whose "Sweet Chariot" drops
readers in on two little old ladies who purchase a motor home
sight-unseen, then drag their adult grandchildren along for
cross-country antics. In Karen Ball's "Bride on the Run," an
heiress defies her father's demand that she marry a man she doesn't
love. If only she hadn't waited until her wedding day to do so! So
it's out the window, down the rose trellis ...and headlong into one
escapade after another. Thoroughly fun!

Climate Change Education: Reimagining the Future with Alternative
Forms of Storytelling offers innovative approaches to teaching
about climate change through storytelling forms that appeal to
today's students-climate fiction and protest poetry, horror and
documentary films, video games and social media. The stories are
used as exemplars, from exploring space debris to urban design
planning to fast fashion and provide entry points for investigating
particular aspects of climate science, including the local and
global impacts of a warming planet. Each chapter provides analysis
and strategies for fostering climate (and space) literacy through
knowledge, empathy, and agency. The contributors encourage
educators to answer students' calls for comprehensive K-12 climate
education by aligning pedagogy with real-world challenges to
prepare students who understand the myriad injustices of the
climate crisis and feel empowered to confront them. Contributors
from around the world share their own stories and urge educators to
join the growing, hopeful movement for action, classroom by
