Russell Brand plays the title character in this remake of the 1981 comedy which starred Dudley Moore. Rich playboy Arthur Bach (Brand) spends most of his time getting drunk and living a life of luxury. He finds himself in a dilemma, however, when his family insists upon his marriage to heiress Susan Johnson (Jennifer Garner).

Arthur much prefers waitress Linda Marolla (Greta Gerwig) but if he goes against his family's wishes, he will lose his inheritance. Arthur must decide if he's willing to risk losing everything for the woman he loves. Helen Mirren and Nick Nolte co-star.
