degradation in correlation filter-based methods. This authoritative
work will serve as an invaluable reference for researchers and
practitioners interested in machine learning-based visual
recognition and understanding.
This book provides an overview of different deep learning-based
methods for face recognition and related problems. Specifically,
the authors present methods based on autoencoders, restricted
Boltzmann machines, and deep convolutional neural networks for face
detection, localization, tracking, recognition, etc. The authors
also discuss merits and drawbacks of available approaches and
identifies promising avenues of research in this rapidly evolving
field. Even though there have been a number of different approaches
proposed in the literature for face recognition based on deep
learning methods, there is not a single book available in the
literature that gives a complete overview of these methods. The
proposed book captures the state of the art in face recognition
using various deep learning methods, and it covers a variety of
different topics related to face recognition. This book is aimed at
graduate students studying electrical engineering and/or computer
science. Biometrics is a course that is widely offered at both
undergraduate and graduate levels at many institutions around the
world: This book can be used as a textbook for teaching topics
related to face recognition. In addition, the work is beneficial to
practitioners in industry who are working on biometrics-related
problems. The prerequisites for optimal use are the basic knowledge
of pattern recognition, machine learning, probability theory, and
linear algebra.

equilibrium (consolidation) or out of equilibrium (trending).
Written in a straightforward and accessible style, "Trading with
Ichimoku Clouds" offers a solid foundation in this discipline as
well as its technical strategies. It shows you how to create and
implement a trading plan based on this approach that can easily be
tailored to your trading style.First available U.S. publication on

The book is a collection of best selected research papers presented
at 6th International Conference on Innovations in Electronics and
Communication Engineering at Guru Nanak Institutions Hyderabad,
India. The book presents works from researchers, technocrats and
experts about latest technologies in electronic and communication
engineering. The book covers various streams of communication
engineering like signal processing, VLSI design, embedded systems,
wireless communications, and electronics and communications in
general. The authors have discussed the latest cutting edge
technology and the volume will serve as a reference for young
researchers.
Compressed sensing or compressive sensing is a new concept in
signal processing where one measures a small number of non-adaptive
linear combinations of the signal. These measurements are usually
much smaller than the number of samples that define the signal.
From these small numbers of measurements, the signal is then
reconstructed by non-linear procedure. Compressed sensing has
recently emerged as a powerful tool for efficiently processing data
in non-traditional ways. In this book, we highlight some of the key
mathematical insights underlying sparse representation and
compressed sensing and illustrate the role of these theories in
classical vision, imaging and biometrics problems.
Found in all organisms, the alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complexes
have central roles in cellular metabolism and are major sites of
regulation. The understanding of the organization, function and
regulation of these quintessential multienzyme complexes has been
greatly advanced by studies employing molecular biology and
biophysical techniques. Although these enzyme systems have some
features in common, their diversity in fulfilling unique organism -
or tissue - specific roles is truly amazing. These systems have
medical importance in areas ranging from defects in regulation
(linked to diabetes, heart disease, obesity, nutrition defects), to
inherited diseases (inborn errors, maple syrup urine disease) to
acquired immune diseases (primary biliary cirrhosis). This book
brings together wide-ranging recent findings on the
structure(function relationships, gene regulation, and genetic
defects of the alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complexes, namely the
pyruvate dehydrogenase, alpha-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase and the
branched-chain alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complexes. A wide
variety of experimental approaches together with new results
presented in this book should serve as a resource for beginning to
established investigators in the field as well as scientists who
are interested in mitochondria, dehydrogenases, kinases,
phosphatases, lipoic acid, thiamine pyrophosphate, and enzyme
complexes.

Written in the twelfth century, the "Naisadhiyacarita" ( "The
Adventures of Nala, King of Nisadha") is a seminal Sanskrit poem
beloved by South Asian literary communities for nearly a
millennium. This volume introduces readers to the poem's author,
his reading communities, the modes through which the poem has been
read and used, the contexts through which it became canonical, its
literary offspring, and the emotional power it still holds for the
culture that values it.
"Text to Tradition" privileges the intellectual, affective, and
social forms of cultural practice that inform a region's people and
institutions. It also proposes a new way to conduct literary
historiography, understanding literary texts as "traditions" in
their own right and emphasizing the various players and critical
genres involved in their reception. The book underscores the
importance of the close study of individual works to building a
history of literary cultures. In addition, it creates a
groundbreaking model for approaching the study of other venerated
South Asian texts.

Third Generation EGFR Inhibitors: Overcoming EGFR Resistance and
Toxicity Problems reviews current issues relating to the design of
reversible and irreversible third generation EGFR inhibitors,
highlighting the types of mutation responsible for resistance, and
providing different chemical starting points for researchers to
optimize and develop in designing the next generation of drugs.
Beginning with an introduction to EGFR inhibitors and a review of
inhibitors currently approved or in clinical trials, the book goes
on to discuss current approaches in the development of both
covalent irreversible and covalent reversible EGFR Inhibitors. In
addition, mechanisms of resistance to third generation inhibitors,
and discovery of fourth generation allosteric C797S inhibitors are
explored before a discussion of potential future trends. This
comprehensive coverage of the design and development of improved
analogues to overcome the problems of resistance and toxicity
associated with third generation EGFR inhibitors makes Third
Generation EGFR Inhibitors a crucial resource for medicinal
chemists, drug developers, and researchers investigating cancer
therapeutics.
