Decorative arts is my passion. Create comfortable spaces for the enjoyment and admiration to whom observe, it's for me indispensable. I studied Interior Design and worked as a Graphic Artist in my own studio through 15 years. In the last years I was taking Museum courses in the University of Puerto Rico and in the Museum and Humanistic Studies of the Turabo University. Creativity is my goal and I understand that it's a must to use this to create decorative pieces with illumination using stained glass. I took a Stained Glass course in the Arts and Crafts Workshop of the University of Puerto Rico and began to design using stained glass as a focal point. I joined my passion for the arts and the stained glass technique to create unique pieces that were decorative and functional. Use stained glass from another perspective is my challenge. I discovered the Arts and Crafts Movement and immediately identified myself with this style. Their distinctive characteristics are simple design, good materials and well done work, because of this, is no wondering that is a fundamental element in interior design until today. I studied the development of the Arts and Crafts Movement and I think that it's a style where many crafts artists and industrial designers can identify and work to contribute for the history of modern furniture and decorative arts in Puerto Rico. I exhort to observe, support and wonder with the work of the crafts artists that today contribute with their work for the enjoyment of the art lovers and collectors. Este libro trata de una revision de mis escritos sobre el issue de la estadidad para Puerto Rico expresadas en el blog Estrella 51 que desde el 2009 escribo, hace tres anos lo hago diariamente y que ha tenido una buena acojida para mi satisfaccion porque lo visitan personas de todo el mundo que piensan igual que yo y otras... no tanto. No es una recopilacion de lo que esta en el blog sino un comentario adicional y asi repasar los issues por los que ha pasado Puerto Rico en los ultimos anos y su lucha por lograr convertirnos en el Estado 51 de los Estados Unidos de America, issue que en la diaspora tiene un sentido contrario y yo quisiera saber por que viniendo de compatriotas que gozan de la estadidad pero se oponen a que los que viven en la isla la obtengan. Espero que mi mensaje e inquietudes tengan la comprension sobre un tema que crea grandes divisiones, enemistades y separacion de familias que buscan un futuro mejor y por eso se mudan a los Estados Unidos al igual que miles de inmigrantes de todo el mundo, buscando oportunidades que muy bien podriamos tener en la isla si cambiamos nuestro estatus colonial y por supuesto la mentalidad colectiva que hasta ahora nos mantiene atrasados y por eso no avanzamos.
