Georgia, through their landing in Normandy as part of the D-Day
offensive, their participation in the Battle of the Bulge, and all

and bravery, but which also suffered a high number of casualties in
its journey across Europe. Each episode also features excerpts from
actual interviews with surviving members of the company.

Young Magda - a naughty, lovable Mary Magdalene - is sent to
live in Nazareth when her mother dies. In Nazareth she meets Mary,
who becomes her best friend. Mary, who is unwed, confides in Magda
that she is with child. Magda stands by her friend saying, "I can't
wait to see what a Messiah looks like."
When Mary's son Jesus begins his ministry, Magda is his
beautiful companion and wealthy patroness. But when he rebuffs her
sexual advances, she deserts him, going off on a debauched, sexual
spree. Months later they reunite after Jesus intervenes in her
stoning. Jesus' enemies, upset by his claims to be the Son of God,
convince the Romans to crucify him. But Magda, a powerful,
resourceful woman, conspires to save him from dying on the cross, a
plot that is foiled by Jesus, who is intent on doing the will of
God.
Revived, Jesus comforts Magda after she learns that her
childhood was a lie. He exorcises her demons, but one survives -
lust. Magda, fearing Jesus' ascension into heaven is imminent, begs
him to make love to her. The finale is a tender love scene where
Jesus resists Magda's seductive charm...or does he?
"A Literature Guide to the Hospitality Industry" is an annotated
bibliography of materials with the common theme of hospitality. For
the purposes of the "Literature Guide," the term hospitality
includes the food service, travel, lodging, and tourism
industries.
The bibliography is divided into sections by type of material:
periodicals, indexes, reference books, statistical sources and
databases. Researchers can use the book's chapters as
bibliographies within themselves as well as using the indexes for
reference to a specific title, author, or subject. The citations of
the Literature Guide provide current information for each title,
including author, title, place of publication, publisher, and date
of publication. A short annotation is provided to give the
researcher a quick review of the contents of the work. This volume
is suitable for all public libraries, universities, and technical
schools offering programs in hotel and restaurant administration or
tourism.
Following on from the success of the award-winning A History of
Pictures for Children comes this introduction to the history of
music that takes children on a musical journey around the world.
Readers will meet along the way a diverse cast of composers,
musicians and performers who all make music in different ways in a
variety of different genres, from Bach to Billie Eilish, Mozart to
Miriam Makeba. Why do we make music? Which instruments make up a
classical orchestra? How does music affect our brains and emotions?
These are just some of the fascinating questions addressed in this
book, which looks at music's transnational and boundary-breaking
qualities. All over the world and throughout time, music has been
recorded and passed down through different oral traditions and
forms of notation. It has always been a powerful catalyst for
influencing change and connecting people. And what might the future
of music hold? Exploring the technology we use to listen to and
create music, the authors imagine new possibilities such as
computer-generated compositions and robot musicians. Includes an
online playlist organized by chapter that children can listen to as
they read.
