Do you want your life to really count? If so, you must learn to
make the right choices because the choices you make turn around to
make you. The way you choose has the potential of increasing or
decreasing your joy in life. Making a quality choice between
several alternatives is tough. To ease the path and alleviate the
problem of making wrong choices, this book presents twelve major
criteria you should consider in making choices. These criteria
include: The Greatest Tragedy The Greatest Mistake The Greatest
Priority The Greatest Knowledge The Greatest Pursuit The Greatest
Motive The Greatest Motivation The Greatest Influence The Greatest
Enemy The Greatest Friend The Greatest Helper The Greatest Power
These criteria affect our personal, social, and spiritual life.
Choosing the best involves making choices in view of the criteria.
It involves having priorities and being focused in life. Choosing
the best is knowing what God wants you to accomplish in life and
investing your resources-time, talent, and treasure-on just that.
In short, it is to live for the things that really matter in the
long run.
The greatest need of professing Christians today is a better,
deeper, and fuller knowledge of Christ. The Christian life can be
described as getting to know God better every day. Every Christian
should regularly?daily?read the Word of God. We should find time
for quiet time or personal devotion. For over 20 years I have been
using commentaries in my devotions. The blessings derived from the
commentaries is overwhelming. I am writing this commentary to share
some of those blessings and lessons I have learned over the years.
Every serious student of the Bible desires to understand the text,
discover the biblical principles, and apply the truths to his/her
life. This commentary is designed to help students, pastors, and
Bible teachers understand the Gospel of Mark in a simple manner.
Working from the popular New International Version (NIV), the
author provides helpful commentary on the text verse by verse. This
verse-by-verse commentary is different from others in two respects.
First, it is brief while some commentaries are unnecessarily wordy
and verbose. Second, it is Pentecostal in outlook. This implies
that we generally adhere to the doctrine of biblical inerrancy and
adopt a literalist approach to the interpretation of the Bible. The
major aim of this commentary is to expose readers to the Gospel of
Mark. It is written primarily for the busy pastor, Sunday school
teacher, or Christian leader who desires to learn better the Gospel
of Mark. The Gospel of Mark is the shortest and simplest of the
four Gospels. It gives an action-packed, authentic record of the
ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ. The inspired story of Mark
portrays Jesus Christ as the complete and final revelation of God
to His creation.
Every serious student of the Bible desires to understand the text,
discover the biblical principles, and apply the truths to his/her
life. This commentary is designed to help students, pastors, and
Bible teachers understand First and Second Thessalonians in a
simple manner. Working from the popular New International Version
(NIV), the author provides helpful commentary on the text verse by
verse. This verse-by-verse commentary is different from others in
two respects. First, it is brief while some commentaries are
unnecessarily wordy and verbose. Second, it is Pentecostal in
outlook. This implies that we generally adhere to the doctrine of
biblical inerrancy and adopt a literalist approach to the
interpretation of the Bible. The major aim of this commentary is to
expose readers to First and Second Thessalonians. It is written
primarily for the busy pastor, Sunday school teacher, or Christian
leader who desires to better understand Paul's message to the
Thessalonians. First Thessalonians encourages believers to endure
persecution, while Second Thessalonians corrects a wrong
understanding of the "day of the Lord." These epistles were
designed to help the church in Thessalonica face suffering in a
Christ-centered manner, and they can do the same for believers
today.
This book covers performance analysis of computer networks, and
begins by providing the necessary background in probability theory,
random variables, and stochastic processes. Queuing theory and
simulation are introduced as the major tools analysts have access
to. It presents performance analysis on local, metropolitan, and
wide area networks, as well as on wireless networks. It concludes
with a brief introduction to self-similarity. Designed for a
one-semester course for senior-year undergraduates and graduate
engineering students, it may also serve as a fingertip reference
for engineers developing communication networks, managers involved
in systems planning, and researchers and instructors of computer
communication networks.
The manufacturing industry is a cornerstone of national economy and
people's livelihood. It is the way of transforming resources into
products or goods which are required to cater to the needs of the
society. Traditional manufacturing companies currently face several
challenges such as rapid technological changes, inventory problem,
shortened innovation, short product life cycles, volatile demand,
low prices, highly customized products, and ability to compete in
the global markets. Modern manufacturing is highly competitive due
to globalization and fast changes in the global market. This book
reviews emerging technologies in manufacturing. These technologies
include artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, lean
manufacturing, robotics, automation, 3D printing, nanotechnology,
industrial Internet of things, and augmented reality. The use of
these technologies will have a profound impact on the manufacturing
industry. The book consists of 19 chapters. Each chapter addresses
a single emerging technology in depth and describes how
manufacturing organizations are adopting the technology. The book
fills an important niche for manufacturing. It is a comprehensive,
jargon-free introductory text on the issues, ideas, theories, and
problems on emerging technologies in manufacturing. It is a
must-read book for beginners or anyone who wants to be updated
about emerging technologies.
