All three seasons of the British television drama set in the British colony of Jamestown in 17th century Virginia, USA. Since its establishment in 1607, Jamestown had been populated exclusively by men. This all changes in 1619 however, as a group of women including Alice, Verity and Jocelyn arrive at the settlement to begin their life in the New World.

In the second series, the friends leave Majorca with the drug money and find themselves in Ibiza after boarding the wrong ferry where they decide to start a new life. Rick suggests they gamble the tainted money in order to get clean notes but they soon realise they have made a new enemy when their rental car blows up. Will they be able to survive another troublesome situation and find the new life they are hoping for?

Young registrar Rob Lake (Max Beesley) works under established gynaecologist Roger Hurley (Patrick Baladi) whose record and methods are worthy of question. Meanwhile, accusations of sexual harassment are levelled at Whitman, Donna crumbles under the stress and hits the diamorphine, more patients die and all the while, Rob quietly plots Hurley's demise.
