Education has been progressing at a rapid pace ever since educators have been able to harness the power of mobile technology. Open-access learning techniques provide more students with the opportunity to engage in educational opportunities that may have been previously restricted. Empowering Learners with Mobile Open-Access Learning Initiatives is an authoritative reference source that offers an engaging look at how mobile technologies are aiding educators in providing new, innovative ways to enhance student learning experiences. Featuring relevant topics such as switch access technology, digital portfolios, dual enrollment students, and place conscious education, this is a reliable resource for academicians, educators, students, and practitioners that are interested in studying recent mobile education advancements.
The Birder's Guide to Africa presents the first comprehensive and detailed summary of bird watching in the African region, covering all mainland territories and associated islands. It gives an overview of the birding in the region in the introduction, highlighting key destinations for different kinds of travellers. This is followed by country accounts for all 68 territories that comprise the region, in which details on travel and birding are provided for each territory, including a comprehensive list of important bird taxa to be targeted on a visit. In the family accounts, 142 bird families are recorded from the region, described briefly, and illustrated with spectacular photographs. Finally, the species accounts for all 2,792 bird species detail information on ease of seeing, distribution, status, habitat, subspecies, taxonomic issues and best places to see. Any serious world lister or keen African eco-traveller will find an abundance of relevant and interesting information.
All three Christmas specials of the BBC sitcom starring Michael Crawford as the accident-prone Frank Spencer. Episodes are: 'Jessica's First Christmas', 'Learning to Drive' and 'Learning to Fly'.
The Special Birds of Angola is the first field guide dedicated to Angolan birds. It presents general information and photographs of more than 70 of Angola's most special birds, including all endemics and near-endemics. Distinct subspecies that may deserve specific status are also dealt with. English and Portuguese text are placed in adjacent columns, to serve both Angolan and international birdwatchers, students of ornithology and ornithologists. Besides the species accounts, other sections include general information on Angolan geography, climate, habitats, conservation issues and ornithological history, a section on top birding sites, and a complete annotated list of all endemic and near-endemic birds.
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 24th International Workshop on Languages and Compilers for Parallel Computing, LCPC 2011, held in Fort Collins, CO, USA, in September 2011. The 19 revised full papers presented and 19 poster papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 52 submissions. The scope of the workshop spans the theoretical and practical aspects of parallel and high-performance computing, and targets parallel platforms including concurrent, multithreaded, multicore, accelerator, multiprocessor, and cluster systems.
Take your communication to a whole new level. Become a Phone Genius! You probably already have a technical manual that tells you how to use your telephone efficiently. Yet there has never been a manual that tells you how to actually communicate effectively using this highly important piece of business equipment. Until now. In Phone Genius you will discover: Why talking to someone you can't see is so much harder than in person. What technology does to your voice and how you can change that. How to recognise behaviour and language patterns so as to pre-empt the needs and wants of others. How to increase your effectiveness over the phone and gain better results. Michelle Mills-Porter passes on her skills in using the telephone as her main tool of communication. Using stories and lessons gleaned from her 25 years of making calls, building business relationships and securing high level appointments, Michelle will show you how you too can become a Phone Genius.
God wants only good relationships, health, and prosperity for you So if that isn't happening in your life there can be only one cause - mentalities of principalities (hidden spirits of harm) like locusts destroying the harvest God wants you to have Learn how to recognize their activity so you and your family can take back the ground stolen by unseen dark spirits Learn how to deal with demons the way Jesus did Live on the higher level God has called you to
Only 50 years after its inception, that jewel in the British
political crown and by now the biggest employer in Europe, the NHS,
is failing due to a combination of chronic under funding of
essential services, uncontrollable expansion of an already top
heavy administrative hierarchy, the inapporpriate use of hopital
funding and lack of experienced, dedicated senior managers.

Interest in developing low-dielectric constant materials is driven by requirements from the microelectronics sector to improve performance in interconnections by reducing parasitic capacitance and cross talk. The continuing increase in density of semiconductor devices is becoming limited by the dielectric properties of the insulator which threatens to slow the rate of productivity. The requirement for dielectric constant is rapidly approaching an e value of 2.0, with continued improvement sought even below this level to maintain this progression, commonly known as Moore's Law. Synthetic methods of obtaining materials in this range are addressed in this book. The materials solution to the interconnect problem - changing the insulator to lower the dielectric constant from 4.0, the e of silicon dioxide - introduces a host of reliability concerns, as well as changes to the process of manufacturing semiconductor devices. Topics include: porous films - organic and inorganic; porous films - organic/low-k integration; low-k integration; low-k/advanced interconnect; low-dielectric constant materials and applications in microelectronics and low-k film property/integration.
