Michael Koenig untersucht qualitativ und quantitativ einen halbhermetischen CO2-Axialkolbenverdichter hinsichtlich auftretender Verlustmechanismen. Die physikalisch motivierten Betrachtungen umfassen eine Beschreibung thermodynamischer, stroemungsmechanischer und mechanischer Phanomene. In Erweiterung zu bisher bewerteten Verlustbeitragen charakterisiert der Autor umfangreich die elektrischen Leistungsverluste des Antriebsstrangs. Als neuartige Methode der Verdichterindizierung von (halb-)hermetischen Verdichtern entwickelt Michael Koenig eine Zylinderdruck-/Drehwinkelkorrelation mithilfe motorintegrierter Hall-Schalter und wendet diese erfolgreich an. Der Autor Michael Koenig ist als Entwicklungsingenieur bei einem Automobilhersteller in Salzgitter und dort im Bereich der elektrischen Nebenaggregate tatig. Er promovierte berufsbegleitend an der TU Braunschweig.
