What is my book about?
My book is about my radio stories, experiences and discoveries I've made in this fickle industry over the years. It's a book about advice, suggestions and my opinions to those who are in the industry, want to get into the industry, or who was always been fascinated by our industry. It's perfect for the novices or newbie entering the broadcasting or media and can be used as a guideline to radio folk looking at improving their trade. It's written in its simplest form so that non-radio people who love the medium can also understand how it all works. Hopefully, the stories and advice can become a shortcut if you will, to those in the industry. It would be a beneficial source of information for any student who can reference the book easily. I use the book as the basis for my lectures or speeches at universities or other tertiary institutions. Parts of the book is designed as a syllabus to be used to do better presenting, producing or management of a radio station. It had rave reviews from people who are in radio broadcasting, as well as those who are not, as it's written in the form to keep you glued most of the way. To my knowledge there are not many, if any, books in South Africa that has been written this way about the radio industry and media as a whole.
