Als elementare Zielsetzung des Reformvorhabens kann neben der Einfuhrung internationaler Rechnungslegungsstandards die Realisierung einer adaquaten Qualitatssicherung der Abschlussprufung hervorgehoben werden. Vor dem Hintergrund einer zunehmenden Kapitalmarktorientierung besteht ein verstarktes Interesse der Jahresabschlussadressaten an einer ganzheitlichen Betrachtung und Bewertung der Unternehmenssituation. Da sich eine (konventionelle) stichtags- und vergangenheitsorientierte Informationspolitik fur eine umfassende Beurteilung als ungenugend erweist, besteht zusatzlich das Ziel der Adressaten, eine umfassende Chancen- und Risikoberichterstattung zu erreichen. Obwohl der Gesetzgeber bereits im Rahmen des Gesetztes zur Kontrolle und Transparenz im Unternehmensbereich (KonTraG) interveniert hat, stellte sich insbesondere die (Konzern-) Lageberichterstattung weiterhin als nicht ausreichend aussagekraftig dar. Die Anderungen durch das BilReG waren somit aufgrund der bestehenden Erwartungslucke zwingend erforderlich. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll speziell dieser dynamischen Entwicklung der Lageberichterstellung und den damit verbundenen Anforderungen an die Wirtschaftsprufung Rechnung tragen.
