Ahmed Fouad Negm. Egypt's Revolutionary Poet. English-Arabic Translation (Paperback): Mohamed F El-Hewie Ahmed Fouad Negm. Egypt's Revolutionary Poet. English-Arabic Translation (Paperback)
Mohamed F El-Hewie
R590 Discovery Miles 5 900 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This edition comprises the English-Arabic translation and analysis of the poetry of Ahmed Fouad Negm. The work of poet Ahmed Fouad Negm has sparked flashes from my past, as all his sceneries, vernacular, and intimate connection to the poorest peasants of Egypt revived my dormant memories as never before. Negm's brilliant and acute artistic senses enabled him to spare great traditional rituals from the sprawl of urbanization and global invasion of foreign cultures, throughout all corners of the universe. His unwavering expression of ideas, over many decades ahead of his own generation, has concluded mostly in realistic prophecies. That made the profane and rejected poet a true prophet of his era. The myth of how a poor orphaned city dweller could have expanded his knowledge, where many affluent figures of society failed to attain, invoked my deepest curiosity. The poem "Ward," or "Al Anbarra" in Arabic, is an emotional depiction of the salute of release of an imprisoned person by the prison guards. This is a traditional Opera-styled salute executed by all prison guards when a release order arrives "Al-Anbara" Waaaaaaaaaaard .. All hear me I Shook the dice.. Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations - Third Year College Course For Mathematicians, Physicists, and Engineers... Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations - Third Year College Course For Mathematicians, Physicists, and Engineers (Paperback)
Mohamed F El-Hewie
R685 Discovery Miles 6 850 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This book comprises a course in differential equations, which students of engineering, physics, and mathematics complete as a requirement of bachelor in science degree. The reader must possess basic skills in calculus, since all elementary differentiations and integrations in this book assume that the student could visually spot the derivation from previous years in high school or college. The book is organized in the logical fashion as presented to college students. The ordinary differential equations (o.d.e.) are first studied in great details, since partial differential equations (p.d.e.) must be rendered ordinary by separation of variables so as yield meaningful solution. When separation of variables is untenable (such as in nonlinear partial differential equations), then referrals to numerical solutions are given. Within the scope of o.d.e., first- and second-order differential equations are discussed in details, also since equations of higher orders could be reduced in order by successive methods of substitutions, discussed in the book. Also, within the scope of o.d.e., equations with constant coefficients are dealt with greater details, since variable coefficients could be rendered constants by interim substitutions and reverse substations. Also, dealt with is the reduction of higher degrees of variables to lesser degrees. The following is a brief outline of the topics discussed in the book: Separable exact o.d.e oHomogeneous first-order o.d.e. oHomogenizing first-order o.d.e. with quadratic polynomial oCondition for a total derivative oSolving first-order o.d.e. by integrating factor oSolving first-order o.d.e. by product of two arbitrary functions g(x)f(x) oSolving first-order o.d.e. of higher degree by reduction of degree followed by using product of two arbitrary functions g(x)f(x) oSolving first-order o.d.e. of 2nd-degree by means of quadratic roots. oSolving first-order o.d.e. of 2nd-degree by substitutive reduction to 1st-degree oParametric integration of first-order o.d.e. of 2nd-degree to express y in terms of powers in y'. oGeneral solution of Clairaut's equation. oGeneral solution of Lagrange's equation. oOrthogonal curves of fluid flow. oOrthogonal projection of curves. oIsogonal projection of curves. oSolution of second-order o.d.e. by reducing it to first-order oSolution of second-order o.d.e. and higher degree by reducing it to first-order. oConditions required for general solution of homogeneous o.d.e. oReducing order of o.d.e. when a particular solution is know. oCharacteristic equations and solution of 2nd-order o.d.e. by D-Operator. oCharacteristic equations and solution of 2nd-order o.d.e. with complex roots. oGeneral and particular solutions of the non-homogenous 2nd-order o.d.e. oIntegrating 4th-order nonhomogeneous o.d.e. with sine function by using the Inverse D-Operator. oSimultaneous solution of 1st-order o.d.e. oSimultaneous solution of 2nd-order o.d.e. oOrder reduction of 3rd-order nonhomogeneous o.d.e. by known particular solution oSolving 2nd-order o.d.e by product of two arbitrary functions g(x)f(x). oSolution of 2nd-order nonhomogenous o.d.e. by the method of variable parameters oSolution by the method of change of the independent variable x oSolution of 2nd-order o.d.e. by power series. oSolution of 2nd-order o.d.e. by power series by Frobenius's method. oAiry-Levy's equation oElastic Vibration oHeat Equation oLaplace Equation oWave Equation oFree oscillation or homogeneous o.d.e. oForced oscillation or nonhomogeneous o.d.e. oEuler's elastic bending problem. oWhirling of elastic rod. oTransverse wave transmission in a vertical elastic body. oPropagation of sound waves in gas medium. oFlow of electricity in wire. oTelegraph Equations: oRadio Equations oHeat conducting plate with rectangular cross-section. oOne dimensional variable heat conduction oOne dimensional variable heat conduction with nonvanishing final temperature

Islam Facts and Fiction And The Fight For Egypt (Paperback): Mohamed F El-Hewie Islam Facts and Fiction And The Fight For Egypt (Paperback)
Mohamed F El-Hewie
R433 Discovery Miles 4 330 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This is the third book written by the author on the Egyptian Revolution. The other two books are: (1) "Chain Reaction: Egypt's Revolt 2011 Illustrated" and (2) "A Matter of FAITH: The Islamic Spring." The three books comprise the views of an Egyptian immigrant to the United Stated, left Egypt in 1984 while Mubarak was in power, never returned home due to Mubarak's pervasive corruption and destruction of Egypt. About ten million Egyptians face the same fate of the author of alienating the Nile Valley and never return. Many more millions of Egyptians could not flee from the grip of oppression and corruption of Mubarak, some drowned while attempting to arrive to the European shores. The only exceptions were Mubarak's two sons who were helped by their father to work abroad while their father squeezed the life out of 82 million remaining Egyptians. To be fair, Egypt has taken the path of decay and destruction soon after the 1967's war with Israel and as a result of Nasser's hard-headed politics of spreading revolution, nationalism, and socialism in the Middle East. Thus, Hosni Mubarak was stuck with the heavy burden of fixing failing state about which he lacked any experience in handling. Mubarak's iron-grip on Egypt was not loosened by revolutionary resistance as it was by his aging, detachment from reality, and his wife's delusion in inheriting Egypt to her son Gamal Mubarak. Gamal would have succeeded his father without much resistance had not saboteurs managed to instigate killings of civilians, which ignited tsunamis of anger and violence. The author described both the defunct regime of Mubarak and the newly elected Islamist regime from the point of view of a layman affected by his country politics from afar. In this book, the author adopts the same approach of pacing together the pieces of the puzzle of the military coup of the reverse revolution against Morsi, the newly elected president, and the return of Mubarak's old regime to power. The entire book depends entirely on news fed to the author's family connection in Egypt, open Internet sources, and daily news and interviews. It is written in the heat of the moment and carried all emotions towards a wounded nation and people by one of them living thousands of miles away. Laplace Transforms (Paperback): Mohamed F El-Hewie Laplace Transforms (Paperback)
Mohamed F El-Hewie
R566 Discovery Miles 5 660 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This is a revised edition of the chapter on Laplace Transforms, which was published few years ago in Part II of My Personal Study Notes in advanced mathematics. In this edition, I typed the cursive scripts of the personal notes, edited the typographic errors, but most of all reproduced all the calculations and graphics in a modern style of representation. The book is organized into six chapters equally distributed to address: (1) The theory of Laplace transformations and inverse transformations of elementary functions, supported by solved examples and exercises with given answers; (2) Transformation of more complex functions from elementary transformation; (3) Practical applications of Laplace transformation to equations of motion of material bodies and deflection, stress, and strain of elastic beams; (4) Solving equations of state of motion of bodies under inertial and gravitational forces. (5) Solving heat flow equations through various geometrical bodies; and (6) Solving partial differential equations by the operational algebraic properties of transforming and inverse transforming of partial differential equations. During the editing process, I added plenty of comments of the underlying meaning of the arcane equations such that the reader could discern the practical weight of each mathematical formula. In a way, I attempted to convey a personal sense and feeling on the significance and philosophy of devising a mathematical equation that transcends into real-life emulation. The reader will find this edition dense with graphic illustrations that should spare the reader the trouble of searching other references in order to infer any missing steps. In my view, detailed graphic illustrations could soothe the harshness of arcane mathematical jargon, as well as expose the merits of the assumption contemplated in the formulation. In lieu of offering a dense textbook on Laplace Transforms, I opted to stick to my personal notes that give the memorable zest of a subject that could easily remembered when not frequently used. Mohamed F El-Hewie
R414 Discovery Miles 4 140 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This is a revised edition of the chapter on Complex Variables, which was published few years ago in Part II of My Personal Study Notes in Advanced Mathematics. In this edition, I reproduced, refined, and enhanced all the calculations and graphics in a modern style of representation. In addition, I re-typed the cursive scripts of the personal notes and edited the typographic errors. In the editing process, I added plenty of comments on the underlying meanings of the arcane equations, such that the reader could discern the practical weight of each mathematical formula. In a way, I attempted to convey a personal sense and feeling on the significance and philosophy of devising a mathematical equation that transcends into real-life emulation. When equations deviate clearly from traditional algebraic patterns, I attempted to help the reader to understand how non-algebraic problems could be solved graphically and through programmed numerical iteration. The reader will find this edition dense with graphic illustrations, made even for the simplest configurations that should spare the reader the trouble of searching other references in order to infer any missing steps. In my view, detailed graphic illustrations could sooth the harshness of arcane mathematical jargon, as well as expose the merits of the assumptions contemplated in the formulation. Weightlifting Contests Illustrated - Exuberance. Strategies. Failures (Paperback): Mohamed F El-Hewie Weightlifting Contests Illustrated - Exuberance. Strategies. Failures (Paperback)
Mohamed F El-Hewie
R863 Discovery Miles 8 630 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The ceremonial practice of Weightlifting contests presents a great dilemma for athletes, their coaches, and the countries, which they represent. This book deals with the performance of Weightlifters during the events of contest. Such performance is affected by the lifter's sense that his/her performance during the contest might be the best and/or the last athletic event of his/her life, the prime time to shine as a new star in the most competitive sport of force, power, and grace. For the coach, Weightlifting contests present the greatest challenge on many levels. First, Weightlifting coaches do not earn any appreciable financial return from the sport, other than getting connection to people of influence. Thus, the coach's drive for winning is mostly his passion and time-long dedication to the sport. Second, the lifter represents a great uncertainty to the coach during the unusual stress of contests. Slight disturbance in sleep, diet, or other social distractions could influence the performance of the lifter beyond prediction. Third, the planning of the lifts and adjusting of the lifter bodyweight are serious issues, which the coach must manage effectively in order to accomplish the best of his lifter's assets. In this book, the author dedicates chapters 1 and 2 for warming up during the contest, emphasizing the basic rules of using dummy objects in rehearsing the full range-of- motion of the Weightlifting exercises. That is followed up with warming up with maximal weight as the trial time approaches. Chapter 3 deals with planning the first lift when lifter is advanced among his/her competitors. Chapter 8 discusses the strategy of staying-in to avoid getting removed from the contest, as a result of failed trials. Chapters 4, 5, and 6 discuss three different lifting styles by a Romanian, Russian, and Turkish lifters. Chapter 7 is the largest chapter in the book and deals with toe-to-toe racing for winning the Gold. Here, lifters must plan to maximize the sum of two lifts (the Snatch and the Clean/Jerk) by increasing the weight of the barbell over three trials, for each of the two lifts. The lifter cannot lower the weight if he failed in lifting a higher weight. The heaviest lift of the three trials makes the valid score in that lift, by that lifter. The strategy of planning for winning when lifters might be tied by bodyweights, in the event of lifting the same total in the two lifts, is also discussed. Women Weightlifters are covered in chapter 9, 10, and 11. Those three chapters discuss the particular issues related to women's musculoskeletal anatomy that differentiates women lifters from men. Finally, chapters 12 and 13 discuss the technical issues of failure in Weightlifting contests. The book should help the reader relate to the scarce and precious moments in life, when athletes accomplish the most formidable tasks of enhancing health, strength, and fitness at the best of human endeavors. Axial Strength Training - Essentials of Weightlifting Strength Training (Abridged, Paperback, Abridged edition): Mohamed F... Axial Strength Training - Essentials of Weightlifting Strength Training (Abridged, Paperback, Abridged edition)
Mohamed F El-Hewie
R445 Discovery Miles 4 450 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

If you own Essentials of Weightlifting and Strength Training, by Mohamed F. El-Hewie, you do NOT need to purchase this abridged edition. The simple concept of axial strength training has its roots in the civil engineering of massive structures. The spine is the main axis of the human skeleton. As such, axial training emphasizes strengthening the low back, with every weight training or aggressive exercise that generates great momentum, such as running or jumping. The very basic secrets of axial training is exercising the low back, then the legs, then the shoulders in every exercise session. The variation and choices of exercises are subjective and individual and will evolve over the course of years as you gain deeper insight into the art and science of strength training. The essential role is the even distribution of strengthening over those three body regions, with the low back at the very center of attention. Anatomically, the spine is anchored to the pelvic girdle at the low back. On the top of the spine lies the shoulder girdle. Think about an anatomical musculoskeletal girdle as the cross roads of forces, from two limbs to the main axis or the spine. The pelvic girdle connects the forces of the lower limbs to the spine through the antagonistic hip flexors and extensors. The shoulder girdle connects the forces of the upper limbs to the spine through the flexors, extensors, elevators, and rotators of the shoulders. Each girdle has a massive bony structure through which forces link and divert course of action. The skull and the chest cage are the bony bases of the shoulder girdle. The ilium, sacrum, and pubic bones are the bony base of the pelvis girdle. Weightlifting balances the forces on those bone structures such that the body frame remains balanced during the explosive, ballistic muscular contraction. Like building a cathedral, from the ground, up, weightlifting training must stabilize the body frame on the stable feet arches. Even if you do not intend to perform aggressive sports, you have no choice in performing essential living chores, which entail explosive and ballistic muscular contraction. Examples of those essential biological functions are sneezing, coughing, bearing down, shouting, laughing, reacting to sudden and acute changes in visual, auditory, and tactile stimuli. Therefore, all people are required to perform aggressive muscular actions in order to stay mobile, safe, and capable of coping with the demands of living. All aggressive muscular contractions utilize the two anatomical musculoskeletal arches of the body: the spinal arch and the feet arch (or arc). The spinal arch, which is the subject of the book, shoots the head as an arrow during each explosive muscular contraction. Try to sneeze without shooting your head and fixing your lower back on stable ground. You seen realize that sneezing utilizes the archery function of the spine of fixing the low back as a base and energizing the head as an arrow. That aggressive sneezing action clears the respiratory passages from any lodged material and maintains the flow of gases between the body and the outside. Similarly, the feet arch performs the archery function of shooting the body mass upwards every time we shift our weight from one foot to the other. As you grow wiser in managing your training energy, you will learn to curtail your desire from over emphasizing one region than the others. In other words, performing few exercises with even proportion, over the low back, legs, and shoulders, is superior to performing very lengthy exercise list that emphasizes one region over the other two. The best example of the latter flawed training is the notorious fad of designating certain days of the week to exercise certain regions of the body. Here, the author would not endorse the isolation methodology as it defies the common sense of developing balanced musculoskeletal system. Mohamed F. El-Hewie

College Level Mathematics Personal Study Notes This book comprises three hundred and thirty solved examples in college mathematics, a prerequisite for completion of bachelor degree in electrical engineering, nuclear engineering, physics, or mathematics. Each chosen example represents a unique concept in applied mathematics that is essential in preparing the undergraduate student to advance to higher level mathematics and physics. In most chapters, unsolved exercises are added for practicing. Thus, the book represents the essential needs of study of mathematics during the five intense study years of undergraduate college education. A special feature of this ebook is the effort taken to put the solved examples in the simplest form and to limit the number of examples to the absolute minimum that does not cram the memory of the already strained student. Even though redundant examples are believed by some to enhance memorization of mathematical concepts, I opted to follow my instincts supported by my own experience that simplicity and conciseness could lead to long last and clear vision than redundancy. The following syllabus was adapted from my undergraduate study at the Faculty of Engineering between years 1969 and 1974 and the Faculty of Science of the University of Alexandria, Egypt, between the years 1976 and 1978. Matrices, Binomial Theory, Partial Fractions, Theory of Residues, Differential Equations, Particular and Complementary Solutions of Second Order Differential Equations, Properties of the f(D)- Operator, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry: Straight Line, Circle, Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola, Polar Coordinates, Hyperbolic functions, Curvature, Leibniz theory and Nuclear Differentiation, Integration, Maclaurin Series and Taylor limits, Newton's Method of Numerical Solution of Equations, Partial Differentiation, Applications on Integration and Polar Equations, Multiple Integrals: Green's Theorem, Spherical Trigonometry: Napier's rules, Numerical Solution of Equations, Graphical Method of Solution of Equation, Newton-Raphson's iterative method of solution, The Method of False Position (Regula Falsi) Or Inverse Interpolation, Bolzano Method, Roots of Polynomial Equations, Synthetic division, Evaluation of derivatives by synthetic division, Synthetic division by quadratic polynomial, Method of finding the imaginary roots of polynomials, Graeffe's Root Squaring Method, Simultaneous equations of first degree, Gauss method of elimination, The Gauss-Seidel iteration method, Relaxation methods, Finite difference solution of differential equations, Linear Programming,

The thought of publishing my personal study notes that covered fifteen years of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral learning and research dates to the year 1969. The only difference between my forty year old thought and the present is the phenomenal invention and growth of the Internet and computer software. Then, our copy machines were run by ammonia deposits on chemically treated paper. The stencil tissues and engravers were the common tools for small size publication. None of those was economically viable during my years as student with total dependency on scholarships and family support. In 1986, after settling in Colorado Springs, Colorado, my elder sister volunteered to ship all my belonging from Egypt to the USA. A half-ton wooden box traveled from Alexandria, Egypt, to Houston, Texas, carrying all my handwritten notes and college textbooks. Then, the custom clearance and transportation between Texas and Colorado ran under $500. The kindness of my sister for risking the enormous troubles in dealing with the Egyptian bureaucratic exporting agencies was paralleled with the similar kindness of the America truck driver who had to drive through a residential apartment complex with an 18-wheeler, yet to find out that his truck was not equipped with a lift that could lower the half-ton container on the ground of the apartment complex. The driver allowed me an extra day to ready and leased fork lift from a local rental shop. Driving a forklift on the streets of Colorado Springs was one of many adventures I enjoyed in such beautiful Rocky town. By 1986, I already gathered more modern and elegant books in mathematics. But, my personal notes embodied a process of engraving the mathematical thinking into my neurons. My cursive writings and graphic illustrations during interactive learning with lecturers and independent home searching and preparation are vividly recorded into forty year old notes. Those include the theoretical subject matter, the examples that followed, and the challenging problems for exercising. I strove to keep the notes as complete as they developed during the learning process. My graphic approach to the interpretation of mathematically abstract concepts illustrates the mental development of my learning. The present study notes comprise linkable topics with bitmapped snips intermingled with searchable text and cover the following topics: 1: Gradient, Divergence and Curl 2: Gauss's and Stokes' Theorems 3: General Orthogonal Curvilinear Coordinates 4: Tensor Analysis 5: The Special Theory of Relativity 6: Matrices 7: Special functions 8: Fourier transforms .... In order to offer the trainee with a convenient source of practical information suitable for the fast pace of gym environment, I opted to extract the training routines and procedures that directly relate to the immediate activities of exercising. The remainder of theoretical information is thus left for those moments when the trainee hunts of supportive or explanatory analysis of the training process. In this edition, the book is organized in such manner that follows the gradual, progressive, and incremental exercising, from stretching and warm up to bodybuilding and strengthening, and finally to the highly skilled and agile Olympic lifting. The aforementioned succession might not necessarily ensue in a session or more but rather it might ensue in both brief sessions as well as over many years of training. Both the maintenance of previously attained level of strength and fitness, as well progressively evolving strength, must succeed in cycles of Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, and highly skilled Weightlifting. Those cycles vary in length, duration, and intensity according to the individual characteristics of training habits. . The initial phase of warming-up and stretching is discussed in Chapter 1. Chapter 2 describes the next phase of proper lifting techniques which must be ingrained before engaging in any resistance training. Chapter 3 comprises the bulk of the book as it details many Bodybuilding exercises that cover the entire musculoskeletal system. This is the most important chapter in the book since it acquaints the reader with the functional anatomy of the human body. Chapter 4 takes the trainee into a more specialized field of Bodybuilding that emphasizes the acquisition of muscular power; e.g.; Powerlifting. Before the trainee is introduced to the highly skilled Olympic lifting, Chapter 5 outlines the schemes and strategies of such fascinating and addicting sport. Chapter 6 teaches the trainee the intricate details of the Snatch Lift. Chapter 7 does the same as the previous chapter but in regards to the Clean & Jerk Spot on Contents: METHODS OF STRETCHING STRETCHING BASICS IMPULSIVE, SYMMETRIC STRETCHING OF PELVIC AND SPINAL JOINTS STATIC, ASYMMETRIC PELVIC STRETCHING STATIC, SYMMETRIC STRETCHING OF KNEES AND ANKLES STATIC, ASYMMETRIC STRETCHING OF LEGS STRETCHING WITH LIGHT WEIGHTS PROPER LIFTING TECHNIQUES APPROACHING LIFTING UPPER BODY POSTURE BEND YOUR KNEES PULLING VERSUS YANKING THE APPROACH PHASE INITIAL PHASE LEVERAGE OF TORQUE EQUALIZATION PHASE THE PHASE OF EXTERNAL MOTION BODYBUILDING STRENGTHENING ELBOW FLEXORS BRACHIALIS MUSCLE BICEPS BRACHII MUSCLE BRACHIORADIALIS MUSCLE WRIST AND FINGER EXTENSORS AND FLEXORS STRENGTHENING ELBOW EXTENSORS ELBOW EXTENSION EXERCISES SHOULDER ELEVATION and ROTATION Barbell Shoulder Press Seated Shoulder Press One-Hand Shoulder Dumbbell Press Dumbbell Front Raises Cable Front Raises Dumbbell Flyes Incline Dumbbell Flyes Cable Flyes Deck Flyes Pullover Bench Press Inclined Bench Press Pushups Parallel Bar Dips SHOULDER ADDUCTION AND EXTENSION SHOULDER ABDUCTION Lateral Arm Raises Shoulder Extension SHOULDER FLEXION STRENGTHENING THE HIPS HIP EXTENSION HIP FLEXION STRENGTHENING THE KNEES KNEE EXTENSION KNEE FLEXION STRENGTHENING THE ANKLE LOWER BACK EXERCISES ABDOMINAL EXERCISES BACK SQUAT OVERHEAD SQUAT MILITARY CLEAN POWER CLEAN HANG CLEAN MILITARY SNATCH POWER SNATCH DEADLIFT FEATURES OF WEIGHTLIFTING TRAINING STANDARD WEIGHTLIFTING TRAINING SESSIONS TRAINING FOR COMPETITION ASSISTING EXERCISES OF WEIGHTLIFTING SQUAT STANDARD SNATCH TECHNIQUE INDUCTION OF ACCELERATION INDUCTION OF SPEED INDUCTION OF MOMENTUM INDUCTION OF WEIGHTLESSNESS OVERHEAD SQUATTING FINAL ASCENT CONTEST RULES OF THE SNATCH LIFT TRAINING PRACTICE ON THE SNATCH LIFT SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE MECHANISM OF EXECUTION OF THE SNATCH PHASE OF ACCELERATION OF THE SNATCH PHASE OF INITIATING MOMENTUM OF THE SNATCH

This book is aimed at educating and preparing adolescents of the ages 12 to 16 in the basics of Olympic Weightlifting and Strength Training. The book familiarizes teachers, parents, and kids with the fundamentals of lifting and resistance training. The book starts by explaining how muscles work by burning energy and moving the nutrients around the body organs. Young children need to be educated on the process of transport of energy from food to cells allover the body. They then will understand how strength training helps the body grow and stay healthy and fit. Strong muscles and bones help the individual to maintain high level of health and fitness. The growth process involves the development of the mental and neural functions, which help the person solve complex problems and maintain high coordination and balance. Weightlifting is introduced by warming up without weights. Lifting light plates follows the warm up as an intermediary transition to serious lifting. The Olympic lifts are then practiced with dummy objects prior to engaging in heavy weights. This prepares the lifter to ingrain the mental imagery of performance under resistance. The two main Olympic lifts: the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk, are described in details and demonstrated by practical home-gym video clips. The book's main theme evolves on how to offer adolescents the option of becoming Olympic Weightlifters when they are young enough to accomplish such an extraordinary goal. The book's main tools are the simplicity and rigorousness of exercising for BIG IDEAS. Unless the workout out plan simple and logical, it would not lead to the life-long commitment to exercise, health, and fitness. The authors advocate the role of managing and executing exercise planning as a life-long endeavor of positive accomplishments and enriching the child's life. Mohamed F.
