With the increase in the development of the advanced cellular
communication system, it is assumed that several sectors, such as
the health industry, education, transport industry, business model,
and so on, will rapidly grow. However, the requirements of the
above-mentioned sectors are different and difficult to fulfill.
Hence, 5G will be integral to several networks and will also need a
unique management system for its successful rollout around the
globe. 5G-Based Smart Hospitals and Healthcare Systems: Evaluation,
Integration, and Deployment provides an overview of the role of
advanced technologies in transforming the healthcare industry. It
emphasizes the technical requirements of smart hospitals and the
technologies associated with them along with explaining how
technologies such as IoT, machine learning, and AI can be
integrated with smart hospitals and 5G networks. The book evaluates
several concerns such as privacy of data, infrastructure costs, and
regular upgradability of technologies. Since the storage of
information is a major concern with the implantation of 5G-base
hospitals, this book will specifically address those issues along
with examining the potential pitfalls of 5G-based hospitals and the
factors that cause their failures. This book specifically targets
professionals, academicians, engineers, researchers, management
firms, technical institutes, R&D establishments, and
individuals researching in the fields of 5G, healthcare, medical
sensors, IoT, big data, and related fields. The main objectives of
this book are to accumulate state-of-the-art IoT, 5G, AI, and
machine learning-based approaches for resolving healthcare
problems.

The availability of inexpensive, custom, highly integrated circuits
is enabling some very powerful systems that bring together sensors,
smart phones, wearables, cloud computing, and other technologies.
To design these types of complex systems we are advocating a
top-down simulation methodology to identify problems early. This
approach enables software development to start prior to expensive
chip and hardware development. We call the overall approach virtual
design. This book explains why simulation has become important for
chip design and provides an introduction to some of the simulation
methods used. The audio lifelogging research project demonstrates
the virtual design process in practice. The goals of this book are
to: explain how silicon design has become more closely involved
with system design; show how virtual design enables top down
design; explain the utility of simulation at different abstraction
levels; show how open source simulation software was used in audio
lifelogging. The target audience for this book are faculty,
engineers, and students who are interested in developing digital
devices for Internet of Things (IoT) types of products.
This book highlights the complex issues, tasks and skills that must
be mastered by an IP designer, in order to design an optimized and
robust digital circuit to solve a problem. The techniques and
methodologies described can serve as a bridge between
specifications that are known to the designer and RTL code that is
final outcome, reducing significantly the time it takes to convert
initial ideas and concepts into right-first-time silicon. Coverage
focuses on real problems rather than theoretical concepts, with an
emphasis on design techniques across various aspects of
chip-design.
Bioresorbable Polymers and their Composites: Characterization and

applications, such as drug delivery, medical devices and wound
healing. Key aspects including biocompatibility, biodegradability
and toxicology are also thoroughly covered, enabling the reader to
be fully informed when fabricating and utilizing their selected
bioresorbable polymer. This book is an interdisciplinary and
important reference for researchers in the fields of materials
science, biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical science and
regenerative medicine, as well as R&D groups in the development
of medical devices.

Interest in constrained optimization originated with the simple
linear pro gramming model since it was practical and perhaps the
only computationally tractable model at the time. Constrained
linear optimization models were soon adopted in numerous
application areas and are perhaps the most widely used mathematical
models in operations research and management science at the time of
this writing. Modelers have, however, found the assumption of
linearity to be overly restrictive in expressing the real-world
phenomena and problems in economics, finance, business,
communication, engineering design, computational biology, and other
areas that frequently demand the use of nonlinear expressions and
discrete variables in optimization models. Both of these extensions
of the linear programming model are NP-hard, thus representing very
challenging problems. On the brighter side, recent advances in
algorithmic and computing technology make it possible to re visit
these problems with the hope of solving practically relevant
problems in reasonable amounts of computational time. Initial
attempts at solving nonlinear programs concentrated on the de
velopment of local optimization methods guaranteeing globality
under the assumption of convexity. On the other hand, the integer
programming liter ature has concentrated on the development of
methods that ensure global optima. The aim of this book is to marry
the advancements in solving nonlinear and integer programming
models and to develop new results in the more general framework of
mixed-integer nonlinear programs (MINLPs) with the goal of devising
practically efficient global optimization algorithms for MINLPs."

Over the past few years, the demand for data traffic has
experienced explosive growth thanks to the increasing need to stay
online. New applications of communications, such as wearable
devices, autonomous systems, drones, and the Internet of Things
(IoT), continue to emerge and generate even more data traffic with
vastly different performance requirements. With the COVID-19
pandemic, the need to stay online has become even more crucial, as
most of the fields, would they be industrial, educational,
economic, or service-oriented, had to go online as best as they
can. As the data traffic is expected to continuously strain the
capacity of future communication networks, these networks need to
evolve consistently in order to keep up with the growth of data
traffic. Thus, more intelligent processing, operation, and
optimization will be needed for tomorrow’s communication
networks. The Sixth Generation (6G) technology is latest approach
for mobile systems or edge devices in terms of reduce traffic
congestions, energy consumption blending with IoT devices
applications. The 6G network works beyond the 5G (B5G),
where we can use various platforms as an application e.g. fog
computing enabled IoT networks, Intelligent techniques for SDN
network, 6G enabled healthcare industry, energy aware location
management. Still this technology must resolve few challenges like
security, IoT enabled trust network. This book will focus on the
use of AI/ML-based techniques to solve issues related to 6G enabled
networks, their layers, as well as their applications. It will be a
collection of original contributions regarding state-of-the-art
AI/ML-based solutions for signal detection, channel modeling,
resource optimization, routing protocol design, transport layer
optimization, user/application behavior prediction 6G enabled
software-defined networking, congestion control, communication
network optimization, security, and anomaly detection. The proposed
edited book emphasis on the 6G network blended with Fog-IoT
networks to introduce its applications and future perspectives that
helps the researcher to apply this technique in their domain and it
may also helpful to resolve the challenges and future opportunities
with 6G networks.
