This book presents the views of leading scholars, academics, and
educators on the renewal of Islamic schools in the Western context.
The book argues that as Islamic schools in Western contexts have
negotiated the establishment phase they must next embrace a period
of renewal. Renewal relates to a purposeful synthesis of the
tradition with contemporary educational practice and greater
emphasis on empirical research substantiating best practices in
Islamic schools. This renewal must reflect teaching and learning
practices consistent with an Islamic worldview and pedagogy. It
should also inform, among other aspects, classroom management
models, and relevant and contextual Islamic and Arabic studies.
This book acquaints the reader with contemporary challenges and
opportunities in Islamic schools in the Western context with a
focus on Australia.

Learning a new language involves more than mere acquisition of
linguistic and communicative competence. It accompanies increase in
learners' familiarity with target language's cultural background
and intercultural competence in general. Due to this inseparable
relationship between language and culture, foreign language
teaching is seen void without intercultural consciousness and
intercultural discovery. In most of the ELT settings teachers play
a vital role; their views are valuable from syllabus design to the
actual classroom practices, and in terms of culture teaching their
role becomes even more crucial as they are the mediators between
two cultures. Considering the significance of culture and the
central position of teachers in the process of foreign language
teaching, this comprehensive study together investigates Pakistani
teachers' perceptions and understanding of various aspects of
culture in language teaching.
This book contains the work which i carried out as my final year
project, the main theme of the project was to design an
air-conditioning system of a pharma products manufacturing area by
using the design conditions as provided by the client. This design
does not only focus on human comfort but also concentrates on the
process comfort as Pharma Manufacturing is considered as a
sensitive case. It helps me out in studying and researching of
different topics and terms which i never studied before. The whole
journey of completing the project will always be memorable for me
as there were some ups and downs and i remember how i tackled with
them. All in all Thanks to Almighty Allah for giving me the
strength to complete the project and i pray for me and my fellow
engineers for a better future ahead. Syed Muhammad Abdullah
In the recent years, food price inflation has risen very sharply at
global level. It is also one of the thorniest issues in the
economies of developing South Asian countries like Pakistan. To
determine the factors behind this persistent food price inflation
is a matter of great interest and concern for the academics and
policy makers. This study focuses on the identification of main
determinants of food price inflation in Pakistan. Empirical
findings prove that both demand and supply side factors like
inflation expectations, money supply, per capita GDP, support
prices, food imports and food exports are the main determinants of
food price inflation in Pakistan. Its findings may provide some
important guide lines for policy makers to control the recent
inflationary trends of food prices in the country.
