Across the world, companies are trying to create a sustainable
platform through a supply chain to minimize the environmental
impact of their product lines and services on the world's
ecosystem. Enhancing eco-awareness at every operational level of
business operations can positively improve a specific
organization's reputation and legitimize business operation.
Furthermore, sustainable supply chain operations also positively
contribute to financial performance by enhancing productivity and
cost-saving. Emerging Trends in Sustainable Supply Chain Management
and Green Logistics provides relevant practical and theoretical
frameworks and the latest empirical research results in sustainable
supply chain management and considers the strategic role of green
logistics and supply chain management, proper treatment of
end-of-life products recycling, emerging trends, and improvements
in supply chain management and logistics operations. Covering key
topics such as green purchasing, circular economy, and sustainable
development, this reference work is ideal for industry
professionals, business owners, managers, policymakers,
researchers, scholars, academicians, practitioners, instructors,
and students.

Bachelor Thesis from the year 2012 in the subject Engineering -
Robotics, grade: A, National University of Sciences &
Technology (NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science), language: English, abstract: Haptic Feedback systems are
used to sense the vibrations, touch and force in many real world
problems for example gaming, virtual reality, mobiles, automotive
industry and robotic surgery. Our work involves the design and
development of a robotic arm at slave end which includes force and
current sensors that allows the operator to get force feedback at
the master end. Three methods of feedback are generally used i.e.
Force Sensitive Resistors for object detection, Current Sensing for
force feedback and Position estimation to replicate motion. The
three mentioned methods are analyzed using graphs developed on the
PC. Graphs are obtained by experiments on the gripper by using
different objects. Master-Slave topology is used to attain some
benefits over conventional control systems in term of ergonomics,
accuracy and timing etc. There is an interactive GUI at master end
to show us forces, size and motions at each joint of the slave
unit. Along with the interactive GUI at master side, yaw and pitch
motion of slave is also replicated at master end using master
controller
Social media are basically varying the system users communicate,
collaborate, consume, and generate. These social media are the
symbol of one of the most transformative collision of information
technology on business, both internal and external firm boundaries.
Social media have modernized the ways of businesses relate to the
marketplace, creating a new globe of potential and confront for all
aspects of the enterprise, from advertising, promoting and
operations to investment and human resource management. In
particular, social media have been essential to recent move ahead
in relational presumption about consumer preferences, new peerto-
peer and embattled marketing techniques, and demand prediction. This
Research is based on three pillars i.e. Social Network sites,
Politics and Consumer Behaviour. How these three are links with
each other. The research is carried out to understand the role of
Social Networking Site on consumer behaviour and how it is been
affected by politics, how companies could use the social
environment to keep their consumers motivated towards their brand
and stay ahead in the count.
Manipulators are robots created from a sequence of links and
joints. The term manipulator means a device which is used to
operate materials, parts and tools to perform a variety of tasks.
The manipulator described in this book is a drilling manipulator,
means it has a drill machine at its end. It moves the drill machine
to specific coordinates in the workspace and drill through holes in
the workpiece. Manipulator operates using two motors, one at its
base and the other at the elbow joint. The movement of links and
drill is controlled by micro controller.
Business world is changing from short term sale strategies to more
customer-focused long term relation building strategies. It is
extremely important to know the needs of your target customer so
you can convey your message in a more attractive way. The most
common method of advertising is television advertising. The
elements of television advertising are Jingle, Brand, Celebrity,
Promotional offering, Location, Theme and Song. The purpose of this
research thesis is to measure the effect of television
advertisement on the target buyer's decision process. This means
that how an advertisement affects the thinking process of a buyer
which includes need recognition, Information search, Evaluation of
alternatives, Purchase decision and Post purchase behavior. This
research includes 400 students of different colleges from
intermediate to PhD level. Gender ratio is equal, which means this
research includes 200 male and 200 female respondents. The main
hypothesis of this research study is co-relational, which is
elements of the Television advertisement are positively related
with the buyer's decision procedure. SPSS version 19.0 is used to
perform the T-test, ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test.
Parasitic diseases are most prevalent in Pakistan causing huge
losses to livestock health. Ecto and endo-parasites cause 40%
production losses to our herds. Among ecto-parasites ticks play a
major role of vector in spread of different diseases of livestock.
Surveillance studies have indicated high prevalence of different
ticks in domestic and wild animals in the country. A study
investigating hard ticks (ixodidae) infestation and their genera
identification was carried out in Tandojam and its surrounding
areas. Part of the data was collected from survey and field
observations, while further examination leading to genera
identification was carried out in the Laboratory of Department of
Parasitology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences,
Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam. The total prevalence of
ixodid ticks was found as 47% in bovines.Species wise prevalence
was recorded as 50% in buffaloes and 23% in cattle. During present
study, five genera of ixodid tick infesting the bovines in Tandojam
were identified i.e. Boophilus (48%), Hyalomma(44%) Ixodes (4.26%),
Rhipicephalus (2.71%) and Amblyomna (1.50%) in descending order.
Donkeys are extremely valuable animals in Pakistan because they are
increasingly used in transportation of goods, cultivation of lands
and are one of the cheapest sources of labour. Donkeys are
extremely important as their use is much more in transportation and
labour as compared to horses. Donkeys have a major socio-economic
importance in many areas. Despite the advancement in mechanization,
donkeys are still the "beasts of burden." Under smallholder farming
system, donkeys are the most precious, suitable and economical
animals, because they can be used in areas with coarse topography
and underdeveloped roads. Strongylosis is one of the most important
diseases of equines. Diarrhoea, anorexia, weight loss and marked
anaemia are the clinical signs in infected animals resulting in
huge mortality. The mixed strongyle infections are common in
donkeys with clinical signs including anaemia, diarrhea and
unthriftness.
The Pakistani Satellite TV channels have recently gone through a
massive boom in Pakistan and for the survival of media industry,
advertising revenue is the main source. This research aims to study
what becomes the reason of the boom, takes through of the media
boom and studied its affects on advertising scene in Pakistan and
the arising challenges. The advertising and electronic media are
intertwined and connected like the symbiosis between the two which
is inherent and natural as the income from advertising provides
media with partial or even pre-dominant financial feasibility.
After 9/11, when the war of terror started and Pakistan chose to
become a strategic ally of US war, and with an internal Government
shift in Pakistan that decided to open frontiers of the country for
foreign investment. With the increase in foreign investment several
MNCs find route in the country. At the same time, the Government
invited private sector for TV licences and from one state owned
Pakistan Television, the industry swelled to the burgeoning
industry of more than 55 channels.
