June Allen is an adventurer. Ten years old, outfitted with a wooden sword, the latest Jack London novel, and an apple pie, she and her dog Jack scout her part of the mountain like the greatest of old west explorers. She knows the kinds of animals that live on her mountain, and she knows the big bear she and Jack just encountered was different. Very different.
