Contemporary city and suburban dwellers are constantly on the move.
Does this mean they lack a sense of belonging to their
neighbourhoods, or does enhanced mobility co-exist with feelings of
community and belonging? This collection examines these questions
through a unique series of neighbourhood-based global case studies.

In recent years, a number of high-profile incidents of sexual
violence at institutions of higher education (IHEs) have heightened
congressional and administration scrutiny of the policies and
procedures that IHEs currently have in place to address campus
sexual violence and how these policies and procedures can be
improved. Campus sexual violence is widely acknowledged to be a
problem. However, reported data on the extent of sexual violence at
IHEs varies considerably across studies for a variety of
methodological and other reasons. Victims of sexual violence may
suffer from a range of physical and mental health conditions
including injuries, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases,
post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, suicidality, and
substance abuse. College students who are the victims of sexual
violence may experience a decline in academic performance, and they
may drop out, leave school, or transfer. This book provides an
overview of issues and actions of sexual violence on campuses.
Walking in the Light is written to help those baby Christians,
fallen Christians, and non-believers to see the wonders and
benefits of following God. Those walking in His ways have
experienced the benefits, but those who have not experienced Him
yet are in for a wake up call. If you are not as close to God as
you were before, this book will help enhance your relationship with
God and Walking in the Light will not only improve your lifestyle
making it simpler, but also it will add much needed health and joy
along with it. If you think there has to be more to life, you are
right. There is much more and it all starts with a step with Jesus
Christ.
This study aims to trace Conrad's literary career in the context of
his life, his times and his intellectual background, thus providing
the reader with an historical basis for his works. A chronological
table is followed by a concise biographical survey which pays
particular attention to the financing of Conrad's odyssey through
the world. Illustrations of his cultural milieu and of his ability
to create a literary identity are then examined. Finally, the
author follows Conrad's career as a writer from the early days of
struggle to the late days of popular success, emphasizing the
material circumstances of his literary production. A general point
made is that when his career is considered historically, emphasis
falls less on Conrad as the author of "canonical texts" for
academic study than on Conrad as communicator - a writer who, in
the burgeoning era of mass communications, was able to address his
public on both sides of the Atlantic through popular magazines and
newspapers as well as through pages of volumes.
