The complete series 1-3 of the blackly comic drama starring Bryan Cranston as a high school chemistry teacher who discovers that he is dying from inoperable lung cancer and decides to raise money for his family by embarking on a new career as a crystal meth dealer.
Season 1
Bryan Cranston gives an Emmy Award-winning performance as Walter White, a down-on-his-luck chemistry teacher struggling to make ends meet for his wife and physically challenged son. Everything changes when Walter receives a startling diagnosis: terminal lung cancer. With only a few years to live and nothing to lose, Walter uses his training as a chemist to cook and sell crystal meth with one of his former students. As his status grows, so do his lies, but Walt will stop at nothing to make sure his family is taken care of after he’s gone, even if it means putting all their lives on the line.
Season 2
Season 2 finds Walt and Jesse in way over their heads. As their partnership reaches new heights, Walt and Jesse begin to see the extremes of the drug trafficking business. Their trademark blue meth is making them rich, but it’s getting more difficult than ever for Walt to conceal the truth from his wife Skyler, his son Walter Jr. and his DEA agent brother-in-law Hank. Walt struggles to maintain control of his life as he contends with vicious drug dealers, an increasingly distant wife and son, the impending birth of his daughter, and a strung-out business partner – all while battling terminal lung cancer.
Season 3
Even though his cancer is in remission, chemistry-teacher-turned-meth- maker Walt White still can’t catch a break. His wife has filed for divorce, his DEA agent brother-in-law is out to bust him and a Mexican cartel just wants him dead. But with his family’s future still at stake, Walt cooks up a deal that will make him a fortune, a scheme with a terrible price.

Despite the numerous competitive advantages of one-of-a-kind
production (OKP), the low efficiency and high costs associated with
OKP companies threaten to push their business opportunities into
the hands of cheaper overseas suppliers.
"One-of-a-Kind Production" introduces a novel strategy and
technology to help OKP companies to efficiently mass-produce
customized products. In "One-of-a-Kind Production, " case studies
from OKP companies are used to validate the feasibility and
effectiveness of the OKP strategy and technology. These case
studies include: a structural steel construction company, a
manufacturer of specifically ordered compressors and refrigeration
systems, a customized high pressure vessel manufacturing company,
anda custom window and door manufacturer.
To help readers understand OKP strategy and technology, the
authors offer a year s free access to the OKP Management and
Control Software System. This system is based on a new integrated
production control and management concept, namely product
production structure. It is a useful tool and "One-of-a-Kind
Production" is a valuable guide for production engineers and
managerial staff in manufacturing companies, as well as for
university researchers and graduate students.

The idea for this book is at least 40 years old and coincides with
an Astronomy class taken at the University of Texas at El Paso with
Prof Harold Slusher. It took these many years later to bring the
idea to fruition. The back cover blurb reads: This is a fantasy
about a boy and a pony ripped violently into a Shangri-La Middle
Eastern world that neither of them, due to genetic anomalies, could
ever call home. I had a juvenile male in mind when I wrote it but I
have no objection to any reader regardless of age or gender. I
apologize in advance for any errors in translation from the Arabic
language.

From novelists to political cartoonists, artists have long brought
a unique perspective to important public discussions of social and
political issues. Yet, fury and debate over the role of the artist
has resulted in blacklisting, banning, and symbolically burning
artists who use their work as a means of social critique and social
change. The Art of Social Critique makes a case for the complexity
of artistic ways of "seeing" social life - observing, analyzing and
portraying society - by examining the interdisciplinary nature of
imagination. The authors cover a range of novelists, painters,
musicians, cartoonists, poets and others whose explorations of the
human condition directly connect to complex methods of social
inquiry often associated with other disciplines. Specific parallels
are drawn between the social sciences and the theories, lenses, and
aesthetics that allow these artists to gain a clearer view of
social life. Artistic techniques, such as metaphor, caricature, and
irony, are examined as unique methods of social inquiry, while the
novelist and poet become ethnographers of social life. By treading
the common ground between the arts, humanities and social sciences,
The Art of Social Critique raises a number of important questions
about the role of art in society: What are the relationships
between imagination, creativity, perspective, experimentation and
unveiling social life? How does the artistic perspective engage in
representation, give voice, or unveil? How have artists examined
the relationship between the individual and society, social
structures, or social norms that we take for granted? Each chapter
explores how the "artistic eye," as a form of qualitative social
inquiry, helps both the artist and the audience arrive at a more
complex understanding of society. From art as a social movement to
the important relationship between art and collective memory, The
Art of Social Critique covers imagination as an interdisciplinary
concept that draws on the sociological, psychological, historical,
and political. Together these essays reveal art as more than mere
entertainment or amusement - it is an interdisciplinary way of
knowing our social world.
