This book addresses the interactions between Germany's energy transition and the EU's energy policy framework. It seeks to analyze the manifold connections between the prospects of the proclaimed "Energy Union" and the future of Germany's energy transition, and identifies relevant lessons for the transformation at the EU level that can be learned from the case of Germany, as a first-mover of transforming energy systems towards renewables. The various repercussions (political, economic and systemic) from the national transition are explored within the EU context as it responds to the German transition, taking into account both existing frictions and potential synergies between predominantly national sustainability policies and the EU's push towards harmonized policies within a common market. The book's overall aim is to identify the most critical issues, in order to avoid pitfalls and capitalize on opportunities.

The first part of this book describes in a condensed manner the current state of diagnosis and treatment of disorders of electrolyte balance. It provides the physician with both a rapid aid to orientation at the bedside as well as a comprehensive insight into the pathophysiological relationships involved. A separate section deals with electrolytes in the urine. In the subsequent chapters, preanalysis and analysis of electrolytes are discussed.

Auf diese Weise wird dem Kliniker ermoglicht, Einblick auch in die Analytik der Elektrolyte zu gewinnen. Die im Labor Tatigen erhalten einen Uberblick uber Physiologie und Pathologie des Elektrolythaushalts. Das Buch beschreibt im ersten Teil komprimiert den aktuellen Stand der Diagnose und Therapie von Storungen im Elektrolythaushalt und bietet dem Arzt sowohl eine rasche Orientierungshilfe am Krankenbett, als auch eine vertiefende Einsicht in pathophysiologische Zusammenhange. Ein besonderer Abschnitt befasst sich mit den Elektrolyten im Urin. In den anschliessenden Kapiteln werden Praanalytik und Analytik der Elektrolyte unter besonderer Berucksichtigung der Bestimmung mittels ionenselektiver Elektroden sowie "enzymatischer" Methoden und tragergebundener Reagenzien ("Trockenchemie") einschliesslich der Qualitatssicherung besprochen.
