Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made

MOTOR BICYCLE BUIITDING -- PREFACE. THIS Handbook contains, in form
convenient for everyday use, a number of articles contributed by a
cycle and motor maker and expert-JIr. W. Travers -to WORK, one of
the weekly journals it is my fortune to edit. Tlie chapter on
ignition coils is from the pen of bfr. G. E. Bonney, the well-known
writer on practical electrical subjects. Readers who may desire
additional information respecting special details of the matters
dealt with in this Handboolr, or instructions on kindred subjects,
should acldress a question to WORK, so that it may be answered in
the colunins of that journal. La. Belle Snuvnge, London. October,
