Most technologies have been harnessed to enable educators to
conduct their business remotely. However, the social context of
technology as a mediating factor needs to be examined to address
the perceptions of barriers to learning due to the lack of social
interaction between a teacher and a learner in such a setting.
Developing Technology Mediation in Learning Environments is an
essential reference source that widens the scene of STEM education
with an all-encompassing approach to technology-mediated learning,
establishing a context for technology as a mediating factor in
education. Featuring research on topics such as distance education,
digital storytelling, and mobile learning, this book is ideally
designed for teachers, IT consultants, educational software
developers, researchers, administrators, and professionals seeking
coverage on developing digital skills and professional knowledge
using technology.
In recent years, due to the increasingly aggressive market
competition, it is essential to evaluate the role of logistics and
supply chain management skills and applications for the success of
any organization or business. The COVID-19 pandemic revealed the
fragility of the sustainability of economic organization,
production, and supply chains globally. Cases on Supply Chain
Management and Lessons Learned From COVID-19 collects compelling
case studies, theoretical and empirical research, experiences, and
applications on numerous aspects of logistics and supply chain
management. It not only focuses on industry and digital
transformation and the critical nature of organizational agility,
but also presents different methods, techniques, models, and
competitive advantage prospects, providing an extremely relevant
and current view of the subject matter. Covering topics such as
green supply chain management, organizational performance, and
supply chain disruptions, this book is the ideal reference source
for managers, supply chain specialists, entrepreneurs, business
professionals, consultants, researchers, academicians, educators,
and students.
This book is based on the true story about my family, the personal
memoirs of my father, a young Colombian man, his journey to the
United States, the sacrifice, and the struggle in bringing his
family to be with him. How a young Hispanic family had to cope with
the constant fear of persecution, and threat of deportation while
dealing with the pressures of poverty, and learning the thin line
between good and bad ambition. Life as an immigrant proved to be
very dificult for my father hurling him into the dangerous life of
a Colombian Drug Dealer.
In recent years, the rampant development of worldwide
communications and powerful modern technologies has reformulated
the idea of distance learning and the transmission of higher
education content. Combined with these new developments and the
outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is an apparent need for a
thorough discussion on all features of e-learning. Online Distance
Learning Course Design and Multimedia in E-Learning disseminates
research, experiences, and philosophies surrounding innovation
within higher education online teaching and learning environments.
It includes case studies of relevant and fruitful applications,
practical challenges, and examinations of the most recent
innovations. Covering topics such as online management education,
student engagement, and gamification, this book is an essential
resource for academicians, researchers, educators, pre-service
educators, principals, administrators, consultants, instructional
designers, technologists, computer scientists, and policymakers.

Naive is a humorous and thought-provoking, coming-of-age story set
in Denver, Colorado during the mid 1970s. Nina is a girl caught
between different worlds. As Denver continues to struggle with
forced integration and the civil rights movement, Nina's divorced
parents have different views of what it means to be Hispanic,
living in the United States. Her mother feels her own fair skin and
willingness to assimilate into the white culture are the keys to
success. Nina's father is proud of his Mexican heritage and resents
his ex-wife and the shame she is trying to instill in their
children because of their dark skin. Meanwhile, Dee, Nina's best
friend, who is white, has her own troubles fitting into a family
where she just doesn't belong. Dee loves dating foxy, street-wise
Chicanos and urges Nina to embrace her Hispanic roots. Instead,
Nina has fallen in love with Calvin, a young black man on a
football scholarship, who attends a largely white college in a
rural Colorado community. Nina confronts racism, date rape, teen
pregnancy, dark family secrets and a hatred so strong that it
eventually drives someone to murder.

matematicas.
