The complete second seaason of the classic 1970s crime series. Bodie (Lewis Collins) and Doyle (Martin Shaw) are two elite officers in the secretive CI5 service, a unit staffed by expert policemen, soldiers and special forces to combat anarchy, terrorism and high-profile crime. In this series, Doyle is assigned to test a new laser-beam rifle, Bodie's girlfriend is critically injured in a terrorist bombing, and the team go up against a rogue agent. A double helping from the 'Doctor Who' archives. Never aired on television due to a strike in 1979, the uncompleted six-part adventure 'Shada' traces the chase to recover a powerful book, 'The Artifacts of Gallifrey', stolen from retired timelord Professor Chronotis (Denis Carey). Skagra (Christopher Neame) is the evil despot responsible for this foul jiggery-pokery. Original footage from this episode was used as the Fourth Doctor's involvement in 'The Five Doctors', before it was reassembled, with an older and portlier Tom Baker narrating the missing gaps. Also included is the BBC-produced documentary 'More Than Thirty Years in the Tardis', a compilation of clips spanning the first thirty years of the Doctor, including some previously unseen footage, plus interviews with the many stars, writers, producers and designers.

Another adventure for Gallifrey's favourite son. The Doctor (Tom Baker) is captured by the tribe of the Sevateem after landing on a strange alien world. He is befriended by Leela (Louise Jameson), a savage young warrior who tells him that her people recognise and fear him as the Evil One. Intrigued, the Doctor discovers that his own face is carved on a local rock face, reputed to be the home of the god Xoanon. Is the Doctor in some way responsible for Xoanon's presence, and can he prevent tribal warfare from breaking out? Also included is Louise Jameson's appearance on 'Swap Shop' to publicise her debut as Leela.

Another adventure for everyone's favourite time traveller. The vast majority of the population labour in an underground city, crippled by the taxes imposed on them by the autocratic Company. It isn't long before the Doctor is siding with the underground rebel movement, but the need to overthrow the corrupt rulers takes on a new urgency when Leela is captured and sentenced to death by their leader, the sinister Collector...

Three feature-length Doctor Who adventures. In 'Doctor Who and the Silurians' (1970), Jon Pertwee stars as the third Doctor, who is called to an atomic research station in Derbyshire to investigate a series of mysterious events. His questions uncover a vicious ring of in-house saboteurs and something a bit more slimy. In 'The Sea Devils' (1972), after visiting their old enemy the Master (Roger Delgado) in his remote island prison, the Doctor (Pertwee) and Jo learn of several recent accidents at sea, all of which have been accompanied by reported sightings of strange monsters. The Doctor discovers that the creatures responsible are the Sea Devils, acquatic cousins of the Silurians who are out to reclaim the planet Earth from mankind. In 'Warriors of the Deep' (1983), The Doctor (Peter Davison), Tegan and Turlough arrive at an underwater base on an Earth in the future on the brink of Atomic War. Helping to trigger this war are the planet's original inhabitants, the Silurians and the Sea Devils, aided by their killer pantomime horse, the Myrka.

Double episode Doctor Who adventure set on the planet Karfel and in nineteenth century Scotland. The Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri, accompanied by a young man named Herbert, become entangled with the machinations of the despotic Borad. Planet Karfel consists of a small population ruled by a despotic, Wizard of Oz-like autocrat called The Borad. The Borad has never been seen in the flesh - only by means of closed-circuit television monitors wherein he appears a somber, upright old man. His rule of fear is enforced rigidly by an army of androids who destroy all dissent in a blink via the Timelash - an instant and irreversible exile to another, presumably horrific dimension. One member of the grand counsel immediately below The Borad, (called the Maylin) is less than happy with The Borad and seeks 'regime change' at any cost. A race of former allies called The Bandril sees weakness and opportunity in The Borad's semi-visible ruling methods and is set to invade. It is into this volatile situation that the Tardis materializes and our favourite time travelers are cast.
