When Molly's and Becca's parents can no longer afford to keep their house, the family moves into an apartment. The parents try to hide their pain over the loss of their home, and the girls struggle with their emotions as they leave behind their friends, bedrooms, school, and playhouse in the house's beautiful backyard. All too late, Becca remembers she left her hidden treasure chest in the tree house. Will another child find her treasure? Would that child care about it or throw it away? As the family unpacks and adjusts to their new lives, they find their most valuable possession-a possession that can never be lost or taken away. With help from an unexpected source, Becca discovers that even if she never returns to her old house, the contents of the treasure chest will always be hers.A story about losing what we love, the upheaval of moving, and the surprise of delightful discoveries, "The Treasure Chest" helps both children and adults address difficult issues in today's world.

IRISH TIMES Over a period of forty-five years, Bill Frisell has established himself as one of the most innovative and influential musicians at work today. Growing up playing clarinet in orchestras and marching bands, Frisell has progressed through a remarkable range of musical personas - from devotee of jazz master Jim Hall to 'house guitarist' of estimable German label ECM, from edgy New York downtown experimentalist to plaintive country and bluegrass picker. He has been a pioneering bandleader and collaborator, a prolific composer and arranger and a celebrated Grammy Award winner. A quietly revolutionary guitar hero who has synthesised many disparate musical elements into one compellingly singular sound, Frisell connects to a diverse range of artists and admirers, including Paul Simon, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Gus Van Sant, Marianne Faithfull and Justin Vernon, many of whom feature in this book. Through unprecedented access to the guitarist and interviews with his close family, friends and associates, Philip Watson tells Frisell's story for the first time. 'Stuffed with musical encounters, so many that every couple of pages there's an unheard Frisell recording for the reader to chase down.' The book starts at the point the Germany army crosses the Belgium border and follows the individual stories of the key characters, Field Marshals and soldiers alike, military and civilian, German, Belgique and French of those who were to be intimately involved in the 'flank guard action at Elouges and the cavalry action of the 2nd Cavalry Brigade. The author has mixed the minutiae of the thoughts and details of those who played key roles and introduces them before the role become significant. The book benefits from a series of high-quality maps which help to explain the complexity of the action at Audregnies and Elouges, and is profusely illustrated, with pictures of those who were there, which brings the story to life and humanises an action which has become known as a faceless casualty list for its perceived success or failure. The author has drawn together many un-published diary accounts from all the regiment's involved in an attempt to show the interactions all between the units concerned and has avoided telling the story from a single-unit perspective. It also draws together article from the UK press illustrating the story as it unfolded back in England. For the first time the author has integrated the German story from German regimental histories and diaries to give the story a holistic picture, which sees the German Imperial Army, put into practice with success their pre-war training and doctrine. The analysis and critique is solely based around the actions of the units involved and has avoided some of the much repeated 'sound bites' which are not relevant to his story. The analysis is based around the instructions given to Field Marshal French by Lord Kitchener before he left and how the commanders implemented the tactics which had been articulated in their own specific to arms publications and the Field Service Manual 1909.
