This unique book gives a modern account of particle physics and
gravity based on supersymmetry and supergravity, two of the most
significant developments in theoretical physics since general
relativity. The book begins with a brief overview of the history of
unification and then goes into a detailed exposition of both
fundamental and phenomenological topics. The topics in fundamental
physics include Einstein gravity, Yang-Mills theory, anomalies, the
standard model, supersymmetry and supergravity, and the
construction of supergravity couplings with matter and gauge
fields, as well as computational techniques for SO(10) couplings.
The topics of phenomenological interest include implications of
supergravity models at colliders, CP violation, and proton
stability, as well as topics in cosmology such as inflation,
leptogenesis, baryogenesis, and dark matter. The book is intended
for graduate students and researchers seeking to master the
techniques for building grand unified models.
Tourism is the world's second largest industry employing on an
average one out of twenty adult men and women world-wide and the
ratio is one out of ten when it comes to the developed countries
like USA. The growing ranks of international leisure travellers are
being influenced by business travellers who, are flooding into
India as a result of economic liberalisation. It is thus imperative
that our professional tourism corps be trained to meet these
exacting requirements. Both in public and private sectors, the
increasing understanding of these needs is leading to the
development of institutes, training centres and academic programmes
in tourism management. There is thus a great need for comprehensive
professional literature. This two-volume series volume tells
readers all that they want to know about tourism - its history,
networks and intricate operations. Volume Two discusses in detail
how different tourism sectors operate and market themselves -
travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, restaurants, airlines - as
well as the impact of changing technology on their activities.

These lectures give an elementary introduction to the important
recent developments of the applications of N=1 supergravity to the
construction of unified models of elementary particle interactions.
Topics covered include couplings of supergravity with matter,
spontaneous symmetry breaking and the super-higgs effect,
construction of supergravity unified models, and the phenomenon of
SU(2) x U(1) electroweak-symmetry breaking by supergravity.
Experimental consequences of N-1 supergravity unified theory, in
particular, the possible supersymmetric decays of the W+/- and Z0
bosons, are also discussed. The treatment presented encompasses a
broad class of models, both of the tree breaking as well as the
radiative breaking of SU(2) x U(1). Rules of tensor calculus and
the explicit construction of the Lagrangian of the
Supergravity-matter couplings are given in the appendix.
