A large 2008 ISECS International Colloquium on Computing, Communication, Control, and Management (CCCM 2008), was held in Guangzhou, August 2008, China. Just like the name of the Colloquium, the theme for this conference is Advancing Computing, Communication, Control, and Management Technologies. 2008 ISECS International Colloquium on Computing, Communication, Control, and Management is co-sponsored by Guangdong University of Business Studies, China, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, Russia, Central South University, China, Southwestern University of Finance & Economics, China, and University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is also co-sponsored IEEE Technology Management Council, IEEE Computer Society, and Intelligent Information Technology Application Research Institute. Much work went into preparing a program of high quality. We received about 972 submissions. Every paper was reviewed by 3 program committee members, about 382 were selected as regular papers, representing a 39% acceptance rate for regular papers. The CCCM conferences serve as good platforms for the engineering community to meet with each other and to exchange ideas. The conference has also stroke a balance between theoretical and application development. The conference committees have been formed with over two hundred committee members who are mainly research center heads, faculty deans, department heads, professors, and research scientists from over 30 countries. The conferences are truly international meetings with a high level of participation from many countries. The response that we have received for the congress is excellent. This volume contains revised and extended research articles written by prominent researchers participating in the conference.

The 2014 Asia-Pacific Congress on Sports Technology and Engineering (STE 2014) was held in Singapore, December 8-9, 2014. FCC 2009 provided a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, university and industry to present their latest research findings in any aspects of future computers and communication. The conference was co-sponsored by the Engineering Technology Press, Hong Kong, IEEE SMC TC on Education Technology and Training, and the Intelligent Information Technology Application Research Association, Hong Kong. Much work went into preparing a program of high quality. We received 110 submissions.

Sports Engineering and Computer Science contains papers presented at the 2014 International Conference on Sport Science and Computer Science (SSCS 2014), held September 16-17, 2014 in Singapore and at the 2014 International Conference on Biomechanics and Sports Engineering (BSE 2014), held October 24-25, 2014, in Riga, Latvia. The contributions have been grouped under the following five headings: Section 1: Education, physical education and training; Section 2: Social sports and sports economy; Section 3: Computer science and applications in sport; Section 4: Materials science; and Section 5: Biomedical. The contents of this volume will prove useful for researchers and practitioners in developing and applying new theories and technologies in Sports Engineering, Sports Science and Computer Science.

The 2009 International Conference on High-Performance Networking, Computing and Communication Systems and the 2009 International Conference on Theoretical and Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science (ICHCC -ICTMF 2009) were held during December 13-14, 2009, in Sanya, Hainan Island, China. ICHCC -ICTMF 2009 was a comprehensive conference focused on the various aspects of advances in high-performance networking, computing, communication systems and mathematical foundations. The conferences provided a chance for academic and industry profe- ionals to discuss recent progress in the area of high-performance networking, com- ting, communication systems and mathematical foundations. The conferences were co-sponsored by the Intelligent Information Technology Application Research Association, Hong Kong and Wuhan Institute of Technology, China. The goal was to bring together researchers from academia and industry as well as practitioners to share ideas, problems and solutions relating to the multifaceted aspects of this area. We received 60 submissions. Every paper was reviewed by three Program C- mittee members, and 15 were selected as regular papers for ICHCC -ICTMF 2009, representing a 25% acceptance rate for regular papers. The participants of the conference had the chance to hear from renowned keynote speakers Jun Wang from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong and Chin-Chen Chang from Feng Chia University, Taiwan.
