France, 1889. The Eiffel Tower has just been completed for the
World's Fair of Paris. But amid the grandiose festivities, dark
forces pursue their own terrible agenda: to end President Carnot
and his Third Republic. A tale of high society, anarchists and
beasts, this is one period piece you won't want to miss
The Somali Pirate 3 - White Star Empire follows protagonist Noor
Fayrus as he leads Zayid, his clan of Somali buccaneers, on a
die-hard mission to take over the presidential palace in Mogadishu
for the purpose of establishing the first pirate state of the
modern era. Local militias vying for power and foreign mercenaries
backed by Western interests put up fierce resistance to the pirate
brigands. As the odds against Noor's gang quickly ratchet up to
harrowing levels, he must dig deep within himself to inspire his
followers through the relentless grind of war. Noor's battle,
enlisting both the spirit and the sword, sounds a greater clarion
call for all Somalis trying to triumph over tragedy. While 'White
Star Empire' can be read as its own story, it also brings to
conclusion the riveting East African saga, The Somali Pirate
Trilogy. *Fully illustrated with over 100 stunning images.

"HEAR THIS TALE OF PIRATES, of great Somali Pirates who scoured the
golden seas in search of booty and redemption. Brave buccaneers
they were, each and every one of them, their dark and vengeful
scowls emblazoned by ten thousand days upon the brimming deep,
their souls burning with an immortal hunger, glory, and revenge..."
***So begins 'Dagger Dogs of Zayid' - the 2nd installment of The
Somali Pirate Trilogy. Fully illustrated with over 100 stunning
images.
The Somali Pirate, by Noor Fayrus of the Darod clan, chronicles his
growing up in a fishing village under the tutelage of his savvy
father to his coming of age in adulthood as a modern-day pirate.
Living in Somalia presents a unique set of obstacles that
constantly threaten to drag his family down. Noor stays close to
his father, whose resourcefulness and charisma keep the family
afloat. But when his father goes missing at sea, Noor must find his
own way forward and provide for his family. Unable to compete
against the unlicensed foreign trawlers, whose illegal fishing
practices have all but wiped out the local fish stocks, and with a
family member gravely ill, but no money to pay for treatment, Noor
becomes a pirate by default. While in his skiff on a piratical
mission, Noor's mothership is sunk by a Navy cutter. Stranded on
the high seas with a boatful of foreign hostages, Noor must face
his greatest test: completing the mission alone. The Somali Pirate
is a gripping, first person narrative. Factual backstory has been
added by historical writer Quinn Haber for the benefit of those not
familiar with the subject matter. If there's anything the reader
will take away from this book, is the knowledge that piracy off the
Horn of Africa is not as black-and-white as the news portrays it to
be. HISTORICAL FICTION
