This 'epistolary memoir' is a sort of anecdotal history of backwoods northern New York in the 1940s and 50s, and of my father, a 'dirt-poor' farmer. It consists of email correspondence by the author and sibs.
The author has taken everyday moments in her everyday life and has recorded them in print for the enjoyment and education of her family (both immediate and extended, present and future) and members of all families who are sure to recognize themselves and their relatives in these pages. The humor is real, the emotions and insights universal.
