zum 20. Hamophilie-Symposion in Hamburg und freue mich, auch in
diesem Jahr wieder viele Teilnehmer aus unseren Nachbarlandern
begruBen zu konnen. Ganz besonders hervorheben aber mochte ich, daB
es in diesem Jahr Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus Dresden, Magdeburg
und Rostock erstmals gelungen ist, zu unserer Tagung zu kommen. Wir
nehmen das als hoffnungsvolles Zeichen und begriiBen Sie
hocherfreut und herzlich in unserem Kreise. Ais betriiblich muB ich
Ihnen hingegen mitteilen, daB sich unser altvertrauter und
engagierter Mitveranstalter, Herr Professor Rudolf Marx, die
Teilnahme in letzter Minute aus gesundheitlichen Grunden und
gebotener Vorsicht zu seinem groBten Bedauern versagen muBte. So
bleibt uns, ihm, dem die inhalt liche Gestaltung dieses 20.
Symposions ein be sonde res Anliegen war, rasche Erholung zu
wunschen. 20 Symposien geben AniaB zu vielen Gedanken. Sie sind vor
all em aber 20 Jahre Hamophilie-Geschichte, die mit EinfUhrung der
Hochkonzentratthera pie und hochgesteckten Zielen der arztlichen
Versorgung einen hoffnungsrei chen, bewegenden Anfang nahm.
Hervorragende Fortschritte in der Verhii tung bedrohlicher
Blutungsfolgen, ein erster Durchbruch zu langer Lebens
zeiterwartung und zur vollen sozialen Eingliederung waren die
Meilensteine auf der ersten Halfte dieses Weges. Die Kraft dieses
uberzeugenden Erfolges war so groB, daB selbst erste ernsthafte
Hinweise auf eine womoglich hohe Rate chronisch verlaufender
Transfusionshepatitiden gegen Ende der 70er Jahre den Nutzen der
Therapie nicht in Frage stellen konnten."
